Yes, yes I do.
The hate was more than anything I had seen for a video game console in a long, long time.
It didn't even last as long as the PS3's flocking did, eventhough they tried to screw the consumers harder.

I love Playstation but I agree it doesn't deserve the sale... not at this point of its lifecycle. There is no noticeable game at all.
I wouldn't outright dismiss the use of reviews, but Driveclub actually shows exactly why they're so useless sometimes. The game that reviewers played in October is not the game that we're playing today in March. The amount of content, patches and stuff added to the game makes a review from 5 months ago almost wholly useless. If you read a review from October, you'd get a picture of a game that's very different from what it is now in March. It would simply be an inaccurate portrait of the game. So, your opinion for game you didn't touch is what reviewers say about the game? Your statement about those games can't be valid. PS4 has great games since launch, i played about 90% of exclusives. You should try Driveclub or at least, read the opinions in the official thread. You should try The Order! You should try Guilty Gear. As long your opinion is based on reviews..... NO. They won't judge what i must play.
They deserve success for not fucking up like the others but to think that it's already about to outsell lifetime sales of Xbox and Gamecube - which had loads of great must-play games in their lifetime - is a bit sickening.
Hype sells.
I wonder if Sony will somehow find a magical way to fuck this all up with the PS5.
Yay, graph update time:

Basically no overstocking.
That's pretty insane compared to the weaksauce library
It's more the lineup up until now that's the problem.
Knack sucked.
Killzone sucked (from what I've heard, not my thing so haven't played it).
Infamous was decent, though a step down from 2 in many areas.
Driveclub was broken at launch.
LittleBigPlanet 3 was fairly average from what I've heard (yet to play it myself).
The Order has had a very bad reception (again, just from what I've heard as it's not my thing).
So while the future line up looks promising, the games above looked promising at one point too. I have faith Bloodborne and Persona will deliver at least though.
Well, damn. I don't read too much into it, but 20 millions already is fucking impressive.
And it's even more impressive considering how consoles have fallen in their homeland: Japan, please.
Also is it now pretty safe to say that PS4 > Wii U + Xbone combined, right?
This must be a joke/parody post..surely.
I agree with him. The PS4 library is abysmal and embarrassing next to the WiiU is even Xbox One first party titles. Most of Sony's have been a huge let down.
Playstation has no games has been a meme for a very long time now, nearly a decade. I don't expect that narrative to change anytime soon even though 90% of the games the PS4 has are multiplats with Sony also having a healty amount of legit first party studios and a robust amount of indies thrown in.Is this a meme at this point?
You're talking BS. The PS4 library is bigger and more diverse than either. Actually research the titles being released for it each month.

That's about 20.2 million more units than games that exist for it. Congrats Sony.

What gets me is the people here whining about how it's unfair due to the game library. Well face it. People outside the Internet like different things - most of them being the annualized franchises.Ah, i see that the "it doesn't deserve the sales" is back in this thread...
contributed with +1 ps4 sale last week and just shipped my ps3 to an ebay buyer.

Since when? the Xbox has consistently been cheaper than PS4 since 10/14.
People are now going where their friends are, which is PS4. Better multiplatform games is just a bonus.
Wii is an anomaly. Look at the PS1, PS2, Xbox 360.
They will if they win this gen by a landslide.
I wonder if Sony will somehow find a magical way to fuck this all up with the PS5.
Sorry but exclusives are currently ainority factor. The sooner people realize this the better the PS4's library is actually decent as it includes all games released. The majority of purchasers don't give a flying fuck if the game is exclusive or not.I agree with him. The PS4 library is abysmal and embarrassing next to the WiiU is even Xbox One first party titles. Since Launch?
It did drop the price recently, but at the same time, the Xone has been doing a alot better sales wise vs. the PS4 since then.
.
Weather system was added in, which personally felt like it made quite a difference. Biased since I'm part Japanese, but the Japanese tracks were also a huge add.Its core gameplay is just as good now as it was on release. The major thing that has changed since then is the online portion, which wasn't even the reason for the bad reviews.
Oh come on. It's not bigger. Indies aren't games. We only care about AAA titles here. You're talking BS. The PS4 library is bigger and more diverse than either. Actually research the titles being released for it each month.
bu but playstation has no games...Hey you... What made 360 successful? That's right, third parties...
Par for the course of these PS4 sales threads is they devolve to people who are irrationally angry it's doing well. Meanwhile back to Xenoverse a multiplatform game I'm more than happy to be playing on my PS4What gets me is the people here whining about how it's unfair due to the game library. Well face it. People outside the Internet like different things - most of them being the annualized franchises.
Show me those receipts you've got. Because last I checked, the PS4 was whooping the X1 worldwide.Since Launch?
It did drop the price recently, but at the same time, the Xone has been doing a alot better sales wise vs. the PS4 since then.
quick question: is no man's sky only going to be available digitally?
Not in the UK atleast.Since Launch?

I'm not really sure how well you remember the PS1, PS2 era. Exclusive content was a much bigger deal then than it is today, so i'm not sure what your point is.
That was back when games like Metal Gear, GTA, Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy were still Sony exclusives.
It was common back then for games to come out on one console first, and then not hit the other consoles for years if at all.
The GCN version of Soul Calibur 2 was the best selling just because you could play as Link. etc.
And the X360 wasn't even a market leader...
The only Sony's 'next-gen' exclusive that I have played is Second Son and I am to be honest indifferent towards the racing genre, so I am just going to what many seem to say, the reviewers I mean.
I agree with him. The PS4 library is abysmal and embarrassing next to the WiiU is even Xbox One first party titles. Most of Sony's have been a huge let down.
Do people think Bloodborne will seriously impact PS4 sales? Honest question. How well did Demon's/Dark Souls sell?
No it isn't. And yet another person who pretends that third party and multi platform games do not exist. Conveniently.
At the risk of starting another listwar, I have to ask. What are the 27 games? What's the comparison in review scores? The person you were responding to was claiming that Sony published games have been a disappointment. And some certainly have been mediocre. So how do the numbers stack up? How do Sony published games do review-wise?Sony published 27 games in 2014, MS & Nintendo combined published 28 games.
Whether you like those gamed or not is not relevant since everyone has a different taste, but based on sales, the majority don't share your opinion.

Well, from the looks of it almost all the major PS4 games are cross-gen, while the ones exclusive to it are so far appear to be sub-par from what many say, like Knack, Driveclub, and the Order.
It will help a little bit.
