Let's be real, they put out PSP's best game.
Here's what I can post - full interview here.
games - Harmoix has been self-publishing for a little while are you going to continue with that for Rock band 4, or are you going into the generation via Microsoft and Sony?
Harmonix - Were looking at a co-publishing relationship with Mad Catz, actually; their skillset really offsets ours in a great way. Weve got a lot of experience working with the brand with MTV and going back before then to Sony in the [PS2] days. We worked with a lot of publishers over the years, and weve always been really hands-on. Our ability to market the game, to talk about the game, to demo the game were confident with //all// of that.
So Mad Catz has an international distribution arm that handles and ships all their products therefore, our relationship with them is very compatible. They have a lot to offer as a co-publisher and partner.
I exported Rock Band 2 not even a full 2 months ago, though this is on 360. You need a new copy or a manual code.So there's no way to export RB2 songs anymore? The HMX site said the offer is expired. Didn't know if I could pick up a cheap copy and use the code.
It will support old peripherals
From FAQ:
Q: Will my old DLC work if I bought a different next gen console, i.e. Xbox 360 -> PS4?
A: Cross platform DLC compatibility is not entirely within our control, as DLC ownership is managed by the 1st parties.
I will not be coming back because of this. I don't really care whether or not Harmonix has control over this. There are solutions to this problem, but they don't seem willing to address them, and therefore I'm not interested.

What can the really do? I honestly believe that Microsoft would throw a hissy fit, they know that alot of people got the rock band series on xobx 360 and they want a way to force people to buy a xbone. From FAQ:

So now I'm buying an Xbox One and can finally unplug the Xbox 360. I also had a load of digital currency expiring soon after the conversion and now I can spend it on even more RB DLC as there are no games I wanted.
I should be happy since i've bought songs for the PS3 , but i'm in europe and given how the recent dlc nonsense of DOA5 happenned , i'm not confident they'll be able to manage my 300+ dlc song list properly.
I hope all this dlc will be on the rockband store and not throught the PSN..
I don't get how people are saying "IT WILL SUPPORT OLD PERIPHERALS" when it was clearly mentioned that Harmonix is TRYING to work with first parties to make it happen. It hasn't been finalized.

Seems that Microsoft should be in debt to Harmonix once this game comes out
Just pick your intrument and have fun .Having only ever played Guitar Hero, not Rock Band, can I just pick up a guitar and play, or do I need to have friends for each of the instruments?
The Rock Band store just fetches data from PSN, it's not its own individual storefront.
Yeah, I feel bad for SCEE victims. They haven't gotten any of this year's RB DLC up, and it's been ~5-6 months since Rocksmith's PS4 launch and they still don't have legacy content up.
Can't wait for this.
Now we need some Enter Shikari, then Rock Band will be complete <3
I understand the frustration, but what exact solutions are you referring to? I can't imagine MS or Sony have that functionality in place, or would be eager to spend a significant amount of time implementing functionality to allow it, encouraging more customers to leave their ecosystems. From FAQ:

I think the offer was for the free 20-track pack that you got with RB2 when it came out. I think the export is still live, albeit done through RB3 itself.
