Two parters haven't disappointed so far, I don't see why one parters are necessarily superior.

By this point in the OVA's the staff list is basically a who's who of extremely talented animators and directors and their skills certainly show in the work they created.

Also the manga had four interruptions before the resolution of the battle. There's nothing wrong with a good cliffhanger.

Not to get too far off the path here, but 'faithfulness' has very little, if anything to do with quality. A more faithful adaptation doesn't necessarily imply a better episode or a better story. That's why some people might hold the view that it's going to be hard to top what was displayed by the previous staff working on their version of the same material.

Plus I don't like the look and design of the characters in the ovas.

The whole point of this thread is for anime-only people to experience JoJo without manga spoilers. You can freely talk about anything up until the recently aired episode. Even small things like names or future fight match-ups can be a big spoiler to some people.

Come back to RealJoJoGAF so we can discuss how those cool fights will be animated.

From D'arby in the original OVA it's just too good, I really doubt they will top this...
That's also what I think, I really dont know how they will make it better !

Especially the final confrontation.
I just hope they will ditch that humoristic tone they gave to the series so far.

My bad, I saw the OVAs 15 or 20 years ago and never read the manga, that must be why I always thought it was supposed to be more serious than it's actually are. My image is spoilered mark so I don't think it's such a problem.

Yeah. He's probably the scariest and most disgusting person they ever fight in my opinion. In fact, I consider his stand and personality combo one of the scariest in the series as a whole. A greedy coward who enjoys beating up kids and has the power to turn you into a kid.

One of my biggest disappointment from reading the manga was the way alessi was resolved. Having him youngify Joseph would be the best possible scenario, oh well.
