Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.
Imagine if during E3 they announce the game becomes available for download lol.

I have a question. Why is retro city rampage having physical releases while y5 does not???

Is there no chance that anyone out there is willing to produce this game as a disc with a manual and ship it out???

I would pay 60dollars/euros for this.

Retro city rampage is an indie game and they were able to pull this off for ps4 and vita.

maybe it will. Heck, its likely to be what, like 20-30 Gigs? I'll buy it, even if I don't immediately have space to play it on my system with, but I'll buy it.

But there is perhaps money on the table for a physical edition. Maybe a limited print, gussied up kind of thing (like Drakengard 3/JoJo got), but I'd bet people (like me) would pay a premium for it.

It's been explained in this thread and in others, that the Yakuza series aren't as big sellers outside Japan as inside Japan.

Far as RCR is concerned, they're an indie dev that can cover the cost of the retail production, but for this game, having retail bluray discs for it would be an excessive cost that'd affect the ROI.

Yeah, I would be happy with a physical copy. I own and collect every game in the series... :(
I will buy digital anyway to support the series.

I don't know, maybe a limited print run with goodies to satisfy collectors could be feasible

add to the fact that Yakuza 5 has a lot of content they need to translate/localize possibly even edit or cut
(there is a Haruka mission I don't see making it to the West, simply because Japanese humor)
, I imagine none of this is cheap.

I like it how Retailers showing ads for Digital Only games... or does this mean there is a chance for a retail version? Would explain why they needed so long.

It's a demo unit. It's there to sell the system not the games. Retailers have zero input on what goes on their demo reel beyond what gets sent to them.

Does this mean what I think it does?

It's a wrestling term that's intended to mean that something happens that excites you so greatly that you forget that it's staged. But it's now used by many as just a term to describe that you're are extremely happy to see something.

I recall that guy having a big issue with Yakuza 4, like equating the game/narrative to something that happens to TV dramas/shows that go on for far too many seasons. Plot holes, inconsistencies, etc. I think I understand where he was coming from, but at the same time, I don't! lol

Ah. I thought that was kind of how the storylines of the games go, or at least 3 and 4 were more like that which I was completely okay with. I played through all of the localized ones and the only one I was iffy on was Dead Souls. Otherwise I enjoyed all of them.
