Well they've had Chromecast and FireTV to compete with.

As for internals, it streams 1080p fine still but it's the interface that feels sluggish.

It's expensive for one channel, but it's necessary for HBO to operate. I'd say it's worth it considering the only alternative is to have a cable subscription + the extra $10 a month for HBO.
