Really a poor value proposition compared to the MacBook Pro 13" w/ Retina.

This really is only for people who want something ultra-thin.

Their vision is right: everything is going to be wireless in the future. It's similar to what they did to the DVD-drive. That said, this product might be ahead of its time... as too many people are still dependent on many wired accessories.

I think sneakernetting with a flash drive is going to be around awhile, plus SD cards and the like... maybe wireless mice will get an uptick.

can it run crysis?

Can USB-C handle multiple input/output dongles?

i.e. Power + HDMI / VGA / Displayport + Ethernet.

Otherwise this product is useless in a work situation.

I guess they should dump Lighting on the iPhone and iPad and replace them with USB C ports now. Only makes sense... seems inevitable, really.

Pretty much what happened with the iMac. They can afford for this to be ahead of its time for a while

Exactly the price I expected. Not sure this could replace my 15" MBP, though I'm tempted to take the plunge. Wonder how it looks at native res.

see, i'm fine with the signal being transmitted wirelessly, but i'd hate to believe that any peripheral would be battery powered and thereby needed to be recharged.

one of the reasons i opted against getting bluetooth sports earbuds.

but alas, it still got the headphone jack, so that's cool.

PRO gets the new trackpad. Replacing my Air ASAP.

Yeah, the 13" MacBook Pro w/ Retina is by far the best value if the slight bit of extra thickness and weight are OK with you (it's still super portable).
