is this the snake oil of our time?
like really you can do all those things already with your mobile phone and it's already duh mobile...

to be fair to them - a lot of what you'd be doing day to day is screening calls and notifications. Little snippets of time that don't really work well on a stage demo.

Ahahahahahahahahahahaha.... These videos!

Nobody is forcing you guys to get a watch, guys. And there is a big difference with something that is always on your wrist, and something that you have to grab from your pocket and activate to use.
Hating is both more fun and less likely to lead to disappointment. Also, since I can't afford this anyway, sour grapes works as a decent coping mechanism.

Because it's way more than people thought, more than many comparable watches currently out, and it's doing way more than a Pebble.

If battery life is your priority, the Pebble exists, and it is A Good Thing.

Ugh comparable Android wear watches get 2 days of battery life

This video is to make people understand why the steel band will be extremely expensive, right?

The lack of functionality is sort of a bummer. I mean, can I at least put a spotify app on it, leave my phone at home and use it to stream music at the gym over wifi?

All told this thing is looking like a wait until gen 2 or 3 for me. Guess that money's going towards a new iPhone this year.
