Uncharted 4 delayed to Spring 2016

Didn't really expect it in 2015 tbh, what they showed was great but nothing ever gave me the impression it really was coming this year. Kinda sad but ah well, don't want ND rushing anything. A ps4 collection would be nice, but I've already played them.

What else is coming out like oct-dec this year? I expect I'll be playing MGSV for a long time, but might get fatigued by December.

So, that's Bloodborne, Driveclub, The Order, and Uncharted all with delays. And, I guess The Last Guardian, but, whatever.

Not to get all "CONCERN POST" but what is up with the management of these teams and their schedules? Was LBP3 the only one besides the launch games that made their date?

It's just really, really hard to make a guess how long a game will be in development. The earlier one is announced, the harder it is to make an estimated guess.

And elays aren't exactly new. For as long as I follow gaming news, there has been delays a plenty. It is from all ages...

What do you mean 3 games doesn't make a good year? They have Tearaway, Persona 5, One Piece, J-Stars, Dragon Quest Heroes, Toukiden, Bloodborne, Ratchet and Clank etc all coming this year.

None of those games counts because they aren't getting Uncharted's level of marketing campaigns or they aren't coming out during the holidays. You should know this by now.

Hope Sony has a plan B for their big holiday title. Granted we don't know what E3 will hold, but that's gonna sting.

I'm alright with the delay. There will still be plenty of games to play during the holidays on all three consoles and at least I'll be sufficiently busy enough with those to worry about not being able to play UC4.

Also better a delay rather than everyone complaining about rushed and broken releases again and the Uncharted series is one where I would definitely not want to see that happen with.

Fuck, didn't think this would happen. Damn I hope this year doesn't end up a let down because of delays.

Fuuuuuuuck Uncharted is one of my most anticipated games, this is so disappointing. Wonder if Sony will end up without a big exclusive again for the holidays

Man so many people upset over having to wait an extra three months

Call me back when the game you're looking forward to is nearly 10 years in development

Only three of those are Sony releases to my knowledge. One of which was already mentioned, another of which is essentially just a reissue of a game with some added content, and the third of which is another "re-imagining".

Actually most of them don't count because we were talking about Sony games. And I don't know about you, but I didn't buy my PS4 to play redone Vita and PS2 games. So the Sony selection here isn't very appealing.

Now if you're done with your snarky bullshit we can move on.

Everything was 2016.

In 2014 they said everything was 2015 lol.

No but seriously, I do hope they have some surprises at E3, otherwise it's looking slim exclusives wise. Though there will always be a tonne of multi platform stuff. I don't think Persona 5, Tearaway Unfolded, RiME, Until Dawn etc will be nearly enough to make any real impact (system seller wise), though there will inevitably be a barrage of indie titles (No Man's Sky, Witness, Everybody's Gone to Rapture, Galak-Z, Tomorrow Children, Wild etc).

Is Street Fighter V pegged for release this year or next?

Good, I save some scratch this year now!

No but seriously, this is good. You want the serie's swan song to go out on a high note, it's best to let it cook until it's the best it can realistically be.

If they're smart they'll hastily put together an Uncharted Trilogy HD collection for Q4 2015 to provide a lead-in to Uncharted 4. But either way I applaud them for taking their time to make the best game they possibly can instead of going full-on crunch and having to cut corners and compromise their vision for the game. Hopefully it turns out to be a fantastic game, and in doing so provides me with the impetus to buy a PS4.

I know, but, that doesn't seem to be a problem for MS or Nintendo. Are they just better at guessing? Or is it simply better time-management?

Called it several days ago. With the directors leaving and Druckmann coming in, it makes sense that they delay the game, and release it when it's fully done and tuned.

Means I'll have enough time to gather money for a PS4. :)

Such a long development cycle considering they were cranking out games every 2 years last gen. Wonder if it got totally rebooted when Any Hennig left

This is disappointing. What does this leave for christmas 2015, exclusive-wise?

Persona and No Man's Sky I guess... XBox is pretty much going to own this Holiday

I would take Bloodborne over anything on XBox, but trust me, no one here will remember that when Autumn comes.
