Uncharted 4 delayed to Spring 2016

Let's keep in mind that this delay, along witht the delays of other games that were shown too early, generally sucks for gamers, we can be mad about it but don't let it make this thread devolve into petty console war bs. I wish all games had a release cycle like skyrim.

It is a bummer that it got delayed, but how can anyone see this as a bad thing? Thank god Sony has the sense to delay games that are not ready instead of pushing broken shit onto its customers.

Very much expected, still sad though. But they should get their time if they need it. Guess I'll have to keep playing Bloodborne till next spring then.

why did you bought it?

Japanese games and thinking that Sony WWS would be delivering like they did in the past. Guess I deserve it.

Ok then if you guys are gonna throw out anedotal posts about how your special personal situation affects your outlook on the system then maybe justify it as such

Even then I still have a hard time believing that PS4 has nothing to offer you from its library.

Of course I'm going to talk about how I feel about the system, I don't like it as of now, no big deal.

There's not a lot no, I liked AC:U so that's something.

quantum break

there is no big exclusives on xbox 1

what lost? xbox never outsold ps4 worldwide.

The QB rumor looks to be BS. And even if it isn't, I did not say they hit every date, they just don't delay every exclusive they have.

Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2, and MCC all qualify as big exclusives.

"Lost" in the sense that they release absolutely nothing and give their competition all the attention and mindshare for three months.

Well aware. But public perception is a fickle thing, and the holiday is when the greatest volume of systems is moved. If MS continues to beat them handily every holiday while Sony just sits there with their dick in their hand resting on the other parts of the year, it could come back to bite them in the court of public opinion. Not with GAF users, but with the average person who buys a lot of games and consoles during the holiday. I'm not saying it's guaranteed to screw them, just that it is a risk they don't have to be taking if they could just get their exclusives out on time. Acting like this delay won't impact their sales is completely ignorant.

As players shouldn't we be more worried about the quality of the games we get, instead of the sales of company X?

Uncharted Remaster would be awesome before UC4, could replay before diving to the finale.

I never played any Uncharted since I never had a PS3. I can't believe there's no Remaster plans yet, or at least nothing announced.

im a huge uncharted fan, uncharted 2 was one of the best single player experiences ive ever played. the gameplay scene in december looked horrendous in comparison to that now obviously fake e3 trailer. it looks like what id expect a remaster of the ps3 versions to look like.

You do know Sony sold more? There are more places in the world than the US

Uncharted 4
Quantum Break
Zelda

Bad news comes in threes.

Has the Quantum Break thing actually been confirmed by Remedy or MS? The news on Twitter was that the dude who originally started the rumor deleted his tweet and changed his Twitter name.

Greenberg tweeted that nobody from MS or Remedy has any clue as to who the person is or was.

Edit; Also, as far as I know, a release date was never officially locked-down for QB, so can you really call it a delay?

Well, there's still The Phantom Pain this year.

And Victorian Assassin's Creed. I guess.

Um.

Arkham Knight?

Firewatch?

I dunno, I really wanted to play Uncharted 4.

Knew this would happen. Oh well, 2015 is still GOAT tier. They rushed with UC3 and while it's my favourite one ND themselves stressed on the videos how Sony was lashing at them to finish it in time. That's how you get borked aiming and whatnot.

GOTY will be most likely MGSV or Zelda now. Or the real one being Pillars of course but PC exclusive ect.

Well that sucks.
Still, one of the things I disliked about Uncharted 3 is how rushed it felt towards the end, so I hope this delay makes for a better game.

But still kind of dissapointing. Kind of lame that in 2 weeks I'l aready have the only retail exclusive Ps4 game that interests me in 2015. I guess personsa IF the western release is this year and IF it stays exclusive (still have my doubts)

Sony won overall this past holiday season. Microsoft only took the U.S.

Persona is not coming to Xbox one loll

To think Uncharted was Gafs most anticipated game of 2015 and The Order on place 10.. this year already started with quite some drama.

LOL. They must be thinking: 'FUKKKKKKKKK' right about now. That's easily about 1-2 million sales from PS4 without Uncharted around. Wonder if MS' moneyhat was in the region of 8 figures? Somehow I doubt it.
So you're saying they were smart on first time, giving exclusivity for MS so they wouldn't have to compete against Uncharted?

I think people are over estimating how common BIG groundbreaking exclusives are

Between all 3 companies they are rare and made few and far between and yet you all are somehow conditioned to expect them at a regular pace

This only makes sense if you guys buy every console and hop around all over the place while only playing Multiplats on PC

Sorry but just releasing games for the holidays destroys perception more.

That's just not true. More attention is on the gaming market around that time of year, so releasing marquee titles there happens for a reason. It's not a coincidence that every big annual franchise releases in the back half of the year.

No way. There was a slight downgrade (I wouldn't even call it that) but it does not look "horrendous" in any way.

Well hot damn. I've previously said that Sony would have to get UC4 out in order to be its flagship holiday 2015 title, even if it meant skimping on the actual product quality a la MCC. Because, duh, they want a flagship title for the Holidays and after not producing anything huge last year they'd like the improved image.

Seems I was wrong. But this is a good thing. It takes guts to just confess and say you need more time, especially when you're so incredibly anticipated and had a calendar target for so long already.

So, one wonders what Sony is holding on to for exclusives. Do they having anything big-big for the fall/holidays set? Mind you it's not like they have to meet a very high bar for hype when they're up against "Halo! Gears!(?) Fable! Forza!" (NOT because the games won't be of quality, but in terms of brand apathy and word-of-mouth) as their competitor's main releases the rest of this year, plus-or-minus a Tomb Raider we haven't seen anything of.

It's possible they can stretch things out with MGS5 and (hopefully) NMS while still holding the preferred versions of the annual third-party stuff, but it's underwhelming. Disclaimer: This only really matters in the NA/UK in terms of a competitive market since there just aren't any others but of course Sony would like to sell as many units as possible.

Well GAF you've gone and done it again. Once more the game that was voted as GAF's most anticipated is delayed into next year. It's a curse I tell you! A FUCKIING CURSE!

Anyone who gets upset about this delay is... not very wise.

Let it cook the full time it needs to. It'll taste a lot better, that way.

No! No! No! Uncharted 4 was by far and away my most anticipated title this year.

This is extremely disappointing to hear, but I'm hopeful that this means they're fast-tracking the HD remaster of the PS3 trilogy.

Fine with me. I was gonna buy a PS4 for this anyways (can you tell by my name and avatar), and this gives me more time and more incentive (more games) to buy a PS4. Maybe by next year we'll see a price drop too.

The only reason this bothers me is because the 2015 was a lie to begin with. Same thing with Arkham Knight. If a game is delayed by a month it's because something unseen came up. If the game is delayed by 4-6 months, and that delay happens 8 months out it's because they were never planning on releasing that original date.
So in my opinion stop lying in the first place. I get that Sony looks at their upcoming first party games and realizes that they don't having anything. But I don't see how pretending that you have games coming out sooner helps.

Remember Watch Dogs? And Destiny?

It seems like giving release quarters is a way to get your game into discussions, even if it's a very optimistic and mostly unrealistic timeline. 'TBA' just leaves it out of the equation.

It happens though, and it's been happening for a long time.

The total sales during last year disagrees with you.

Some thoughts.

-Darn it!
-Well...Naughty Dog knows what's best.
-Still a ton of great games coming out this year
-That "list" a poster posted is so silly
-Quantum Break has not been delayed yet.
-Way to ruin a thread fanboys

Wouldn't that encourage people to only pick up the console during the holiday season?
