I would love this. And for XV-3, everyone together !
Could you explain a bit more?
How does combat feel or compared to?
Extremely Hype w0ot!
I love that this is the consensus. Music to my ears!
Dragoon Lady standalone game I'm okay with that.
The demo is quite big too. I played for about an hour and saw only a small portion of the map. The demo covers about 5%, so I was told. The Square employee also said, and I quote: "I think XV will be a bigger game than VII." Perhaps a very bold statement, but nonetheless, I was very impressed. He also said that there were a lot of surprises to discover in the demo.
.
It's obviously a bit more hack'n'slash and all real-time, but it feels very RPG-like. The main concern you'll have when in combat is mana regeneration. No mana, no dodging. And when you know that (in the demo at least) you'll be fighting 5-20 enemies (buffalos + hounds + imperial troops) at the same time, then you realize how important handling your mana is. Going in with "dodge" activated all the time will just play in your disadvantage.
The parry button has to be pressed twice, one time to effectively block the attack and one time to counter-attack. When a party member is low on health, you just run to him and press X to give him a health boost.
Your summonable weapons can be placed in a certain order, so there's quite a bit of playing around with combos. On top of that, you can switch special attacks during combat in a very smooth way.
I don't know if there was a quick-button for potions, but I just went (smoothly) into the menu and used a couple. Especially at night (and since it was my first time playing) the fights are quite hard. The little goblins in particular are nasty little buggers.

That's all I'm gonna say for now. The demo is just around the corner and it's always more fun to experience those things first hand.
Unfortunately I think FF sequels are here to stay. They invest so much time and money in these FF games, they want to reuse as many assets as possible.
Stella/Luna standalone game I'm okay with that.

C'MON SQUARE, let me pre-order it from the US PSN =( SHIT!
Bigger than FF7 would mean it would have to sell more than 10 million units.
I think he means the size of the game world
Or I suck at detecting your sarcasm
Probably the latter.
But tweeting it out is really making it a bigger deal than it really is lol. SE employees are paid to sell people on their games.
But what about Lightning Returns?????It's actually possible to believe in the products you're working on jfyi.
in before lightning returns

It's just nonsense marketing speak.Since I never played FVII - is it really that huge? Or are the others (8,9 etc) bigger (which I assume)?
Weird that they chose exactly that title to make a comparison. Or maybe because they assume fans like it the most? (not saying that they do though lol)

Bold prediction FFXV sells more than the XIII trilogy combined.
I Believe in FFXV
Not sure if you're joking but I actually think that could happen when they play their cards right. XV definitely has a massive awareness from non-RPG/non-FF fans.
Was people able to download the demo already?
No, why should they be able to do that?
Was people able to download the demo already?
Nope. Guessing they are waiting to the absolute last minute to upload the demo to servers.
A lot of stuff is loaded into the backend on Mondays. I would check in the evening.

It's so bizarre that the game is available for preorder everywhere except on NA PSN, I don't understand how that would come to happen
Anyone know how much space the demo will take up?
Oh, awesome.6.29 GB, at least on Xbox One, anyway.
