The thing that I love about what has been shown so far in regards to this game is that it captures the feel of the early trailers. FF13's first trailers had a completely different feel from the games they delivered. With FF15 they aren't making the same mistake twice.
Demo and the game installed and ready , 17th NEED TO COME NOW

I work at Amazon and saw an Xbone version of type 0 as I was walking around picking your orders![]()

What? Is the PS version of the demo going to be that much bigger than the XB1 version. That's about 6GB.:'( *sobbing profusely* It is still not up for install for PSN NA! The fact that its going to be around 26 GB compounded with my slow ass internet........ *more sobbing*.....
YupReview Embargo lifts tomorrow I guess for type-0?

They should always have the cast record their lines together when they share scenes. It's really the best way to get the most out of their performances and have the banter feel real and connected.
It's obviously a bit more hack'n'slash and all real-time, but it feels very RPG-like. The main concern you'll have when in combat is mana regeneration. No mana, no dodging. And when you know that (in the demo at least) you'll be fighting 5-20 enemies (buffalos + hounds + imperial troops) at the same time, then you realize how important handling your mana is. Going in with "dodge" activated all the time will just play in your disadvantage.
The parry button has to be pressed twice, one time to effectively block the attack and one time to counter-attack. When a party member is low on health, you just run to him and press X to give him a health boost.
Your summonable weapons can be placed in a certain order, so there's quite a bit of playing around with combos. On top of that, you can switch special attacks during combat in a very smooth way.
I don't know if there was a quick-button for potions, but I just went (smoothly) into the menu and used a couple. Especially at night (and since it was my first time playing) the fights are quite hard. The little goblins in particular are nasty little buggers.
The demo is quite big too. I played for about an hour and saw only a small portion of the map. The demo covers about 5%, so I was told. The Square employee also said, and I quote: "I think XV will be a bigger game than VII." Perhaps a very bold statement, but nonetheless, I was very impressed. He also said that there were a lot of surprises to discover in the demo.
That's all I'm gonna say for now. The demo is just around the corner and it's always more fun to experience those things first hand.
I hope they release the demo for like a $10 purchase in a few months.....2 hours is pretty meaty
I already mentioned it would be Tuesday. Finally someone over the PS blog talked about the digital version + FF XV demo

Why exactly shouldn't Type-0 HD be $60? Brand new game never released outside of Japan. A graphical overhaul (yeah you can tell it was a psp game but it still looks a lot better and a lot more work was put into it than any other remaster out there). If it had already released on the psp and was localized years ago, sure.. $40 would make more sense but this isn't the case. I would pay $60 for type 0 even if the game didn't come with the ffxv demo.

It started as a mobile game for a start.
No one wanted to say anything because it was a massive screw up.Yeah, I trust you Kagari. But it's good to see someone over Sony or Square FINALLY say something about this. I hated their silence in the last week.
So my first exposure to a FF title and turn based combat was a demo for FF7. My firt reaction upon getting into battle was "Why cant I block? Why cant I run up and hit them? Why am I standing in a line? How do I dodge"....so after 15 years I finally get to play the game I wanted to play way back when.

Not necessarily, Tabata could easily be moved onto Type-1 after FFXV (XV sequels and/or the need for Tabata to direct them is a discussion entirely on it's own). Specially if the interest in such a game is high enough.

You know, Tabata could just be directing more than one game together like many other directors before him and currently are doing in S-E.

Isn't this just another sign Sony doesn't care at all about FF anymore? There's so little Type-0 promotion from them.
And from my personal experience that's exactly what especially a lot of young people who otherwise would like to play FFs are thinking these days. Many of them are only now interested in the series because turn-based battles turned them off completely.
Let's face it, there really wasn't any other way than what FFXV does to open the series up for a new generation of players who sees no reason why they would be forced to stand still while all this crazy stuff happens on screen. It's feels outdated and not engaging to a modern mainstream audience.
