BLOODBORNE Spoiler Thread (read OP)

As someone who isn't a fan of the souls games (because I've never played them), this looks utterly gorgeous and very interesting. I just don't think I can get passed the difficulty. I'm not very good at games.

That ball is fucking destroying EVERYTHING

Cap at 20 vials and they don't seem to replenish anywhere as much as the Estus Flasks in Dark Souls.

Good call with that limit? I wonder if there are going to be variations like the different grass in DeS.

If you find a lamp and just want to level up, 10 seconds to go to the hub and 40 to get back to the lamp. >____>

I can deal with it, but it would be so much better to just level up at lamps. It's not like people would completely ignore the HUB just because of that (though I'd be perfectly fine with that). They still need to buy stuff there and access their storage. If they're short on supplies they have to go back.

Dark Souls' world structure is still the best imo, easily.

Yep, I like the system they used for vials.

Enemies don't drop estus though, so it is a bit more forgiving.

While I really liked Dark Souls sense of adventuring into the unknown, camping and continuing onwards I did miss the home like feel the Nexus provided.

That feeling of safety, you could let all your burdens go, find out what other NPC's were up to, bring more people along the journey and find them at that place....it really felt like you were all in this together.

All I know is that the best business to be in living in the world of Bloodborne is Hatter. Even the most asshole of badguys have dashing top hats.

Just started watching, are there "fog gates" through the zone as you progress, or is the whole zone accessible? (Maybe why load times are as long as they are?)

I don't want to go into hyperbole, but I honestly think the atmosphere of this area is legitimately the most jaw dropping I've ever seen in a game. I am in awe.

agreed

Stopped watching the stream. Don't want to spoiler myself anymore.

From what I've seen, It looks unbelievable. Just terrific.

he just got wrecked by lvl 1 enemies, despite being over-leveled.

holy fucking shit, going in recklessly still kills you

Not hyperbole at all. Videogames and movies have been focusing on Sci-Fi high fantasy atmospheres for quite a while now.

I welcome a dark and macabre feel to a world.

Do we know anything about the punishment for dying?

Are builds something a new player to the Souls game should worry about or is that something that I should only focus on in the new game Plus (harder difficulty after the first playthrough correct?)
