BLOODBORNE Spoiler Thread (read OP)

40 second load time to warp, pre-order cancelled!!!!

God Damn... This was not funny till I read and saw your avatar.

Thankyou. I needed the laugh,

He's definitely just walking right into enemies and swinging. Seems like he should be using guns to stun a lot more and way more dodging for openings. That's how I understood the new combat to be. With no shield you have to be very proactive.

And no weapon transforming...

is ammo hard to come by?

Long load times wouldn't bug me much if the loading screen was a bit more interesting than just the title. Concept art like in DeS, or item descriptions like in DaS would be much better.

It seems like he may be over-leveled for the area he is in. He's just button mashing these groups of guys and they are barely hurting him.

Basic variations of molotov cocktails, ammo and blood vials (health potions) seems to exist in infinite amounts in the stores.

This is the first time that I have seen the load times like this. Before they seemed super fast.

Something change you think? Or were they covering load times?

20 seconds, long but tolerable.

30 seconds, super long and annoying but I would likely live (and be grumpy).

45+ seconds, wow that is scary considering all the loading that happens in these games.

Doesn't seem too bad, though it sounds like from Edge (who can't find weapons, so grain of salt) that things are more strained later on as far as bullets and vials go. Didn't see how much they were for purchasing if they were available.

Edit: 240 blood echoes each. Not too bad.

He's already beaten two bosses and he's currently replaying the first zone in the game in order to farm some blood echoes/molotovs. That's why he's breezing through it all.

It's not a DPS tool. It's used for staggering enemies. He has 20 bullets. He should be using it a lot more. Especially on stuff like the dogs that are super agile.

I believe some guns are stun tools. When he used it last night, it didn't do anything to slow the dogs, which is why I assume he stopped using it.

When he picks up items you see a green icon to the left of the item icon. That indicates that the items have been placed into his storage (he didn't have space on the character for them).

Maybe the real loading screen is enabled in the day 1 patch to avoid potential spoilers in these inevitable early streams.

Depends on what gun he used and what the dogs were doing.
Blunderbuss
knocks them down. Not sure about the
pistol
.

Imagine the PvP......its just going to be like Demons Souls with all that grassing :D
Cap at 20 vials and they don't seem to replenish anywhere as much as the Estus Flasks in Dark Souls.

11-12 seconds to go from the zone to hub.

If you find a lamp and just want to level up, 10 seconds to go to the hub and 40 to get back to the lamp. >____>

I can deal with it, but it would be so much better to just level up at lamps. It's not like people would completely ignore the HUB just because of that (though I'd be perfectly fine with that). They still need to buy stuff there and access their storage. If they're short on supplies they have to go back.

Dark Souls' world structure is still the best imo, easily.

Yep, I like the system they used for vials.

Enemies don't drop estus though, so it is a bit more forgiving.

In which case he's using a gun that IS for damaging stuff but he obviously hasn't got the stats to make it do damage. It's like equipping a Scimitar on a strength build.

Meaning he should be using a different gun.

I haven't been horrified by crows since Resident Evil 2.

FUCK

Goddamn at the vista. The best part is knowing that you get to explore all of that and it'll link together in an organic and legitimate way.

FROM should be ashamed of themselves with those loading times with a machine with 5gbs of ram smh... The day one patch better improve them.

HAMMER-SLAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
