BLOODBORNE Spoiler Thread (read OP)

What if they do what they did for 360 dark souls players, blocking party chat? Back to PS3 style with group text chat?

Mumble, Team Speak and other third party chat features called they want their usage since before party chat/xbox group chat came out.

If there is a will there is a way.

All this time I've been looking at the UK release date and thought it was the same here in DK, but now I just realised it comes out the 25th here, and I got the 25th, 26th and 27th completely free which means 3 full days of Bloodborne. Hype intensifies.

You sir are a lucky man. That compromise with your wife is well worth it. So we have Nuszka, Yoshi and myself at least up powering through for the first 24 hours.

Any other crazy idiots on GAF that are going to contribute to the power playing 24-72 hour block?
We should totally add each other and create a Bloodborne party chat before-hand so we don't have to worry about the technical details once the game is out.

^I'd like to jump in for the party chat as well.

I wonder what you get if you manage to kill the first enemy unarmed, instead of dying as you're supposed to.

Ugh, everything I'm reading about is really positive and I'm excited for the game. BUT I can't help but to think back about Dark Souls II, where I got it day one and was like "wait I really don't like this game.". Then pretty soon a lot of people were coming around to that conclusion.

I have the day after this game comes out off, but I'm working Thursday and Friday, and I think I might be out of town over the weekend...

so fucking depressed... dunno what to do... real life fucking sucks ass sometimes...

Tbh I put way more weight into what the fans think rather than the critics, not to say their opinion is totally ignored.

Dark Souls 2 isn't a Miyazaki game, that's why

That church giant with the ball and chain is awesome. He looked easy at first but then did a couple moves that would take me out.

What's up Yoshichan? Is something going to get in the way of you and Bloodborne?
It's alright, nothing will stand in the way :)

Fiancée and me probably breaking off today..............

It isn't a system shock whatsoever if you have played Souls games before. It feels very familiar and you can get stuck in straight away, any habbits you picked up from the Souls games at first can screw you over though, but that doesn't last long. You have to approach Bloodborne more like a Souls game rather than the games mentioned in your previous post,

Pretty much everyone that replied needs to actually read my original post again. Carefully.

What I'm getting from a lot of these comments, and especially those from the preview articles is that it's assumed that EVERYONE played soley in a sword and board style, when that's definitely not the case at all. Many people may have started out that way, but eventually switched to playing just two-handing a weapon and no shield, or dual wielding (which may have parries, but you can't block). On top of that, the later patches of Dark Souls 2 essentially turned it into "Melee Souls" anyway, so magic took a backseat compared to how it was in the first few months. Anyone who's been playing any of the Souls games over the last few weeks or months with a no shield, melee focused style shouldn't have any problems at all with Bloodborne. So I still don't believe there is going to be much to "unlearn" and the combat will be very easy to grasp in under an hour.

Also, I still believe that the previously mentioned action games are relative. They focus on a faster momentum as well as damage avoidance through dodging. Who cares that some of the other games have multi-hit or aerial combos? That's not all they are, plus you can only "mash" your way through those games on the default difficulties anyway.

Bloodborne delay confirmed so that you just have enough time to get everything into the right direction.

Best wishes mate, contact me if you need someone. <3 You were my first PM. ;___;

Thanks a bunch guys. Shit like this always seem to happen near exciting moments of my life.

Love me some Dark Souls 2. Double dipping on the PS4 version after having completed it on PC. I'll stand by that game, though this definitely looks more special.

Was that your first Souls game or did you just not like DS2 in particular?

Know what you mean , back when Soul Calibur 4 was releasing i had a big, major fight with my wife an hour before i got the game, ruined the whole experience for me. Hope you get your stuff sorted before next week starts and can enjoy BB with clean head.

Similar here. My Boyfriend broke up with me mid-way through our tandem playthrough of dark souls 2... ruined the whole week for me.

Ok, should i get the guide book or not ? Know that ENB works on this one as well, have not had the one from DS2, was it any good?
