Pillars of Eternity Gone Gold! Releasing March 26th

Holy shot hype. Defoe picking up a copy, will play it later this year when I build a new PC. No way I'm letting a Baldurs Gate successor fail. No fucking way.

Fuck me sideways I've rarely been so excited for a release. I've purposely kept myself from looking into any details or dev updates since backing this game... It was hard, oh yes it was hard but the result will be all the more glorious.

There is a pre-load. More details to come soon later today after Brandon Adler posts the new update regarding this information. Stay tuned.

No idea if i should play the game at launch or wait 1-2months for the biggest bugfixes :D

Waited 2,5years, can wait 1-2months more.

Dude once people start talking about how it's the best thing ever your willpower will crack.

1 - 2 months. Puleeeeasssse.

I've been through a rough two weeks between an unexpected move, and having my wisdom teeth removed, but I knew that soon this would come out. I cannot express how much I've been looking forward to this game.

I've noticed some discussion over the price of the game, and all I can say is that I'm disappointed by those who feel that way. In a perfect world, it's games like this one and Divinity: Original Sin who merit to be full-priced. They're not only offering a lot more content and longevity than the full-priced AAA titles, but I think that it can be argued that they're (well, D:OS for now :P) far better games overall (Dragon Age: Inquisition being a recent AAA RPG example).

Enough about that, I'm looking forward to receiving my CE copy of the game and reading through the various texts, manual, almanac, and guidebook.

I have succesfully avoided absolutely everything about this game. I don't know how the Beta is, I don't know any systems, story setup, world...nothing.
I backed it and watched some trailers and that's it. I'm excited.

Hype!

Me too. Aside from a couple of gameplay videos, I saw nothing. I don't even saw the trailers. That's how I usually do with my anticipated games.
I want to experience everything from zero.

well that's an unfortunate release date considering I'll be ass deep in Bloodborne. I already paid for it though, so I'll get around to it at some point.

For you it means you can play or buy it whenever you like with no waiting. For others it mean it's coming out soon.

This is only the second game I've every been hyped for (Diablo 2 was the first). I'm still undecided between chanter (summons), cipher (just seem cool), or rogue (complement my party). I've avoided info for the most part. That said, I'm probably going to wait a couple of months until the bugfixes are out before I play it. I haven't touched any of the other kickstarter games yet (wasteland 2 - which is supposedly getting a big update soon, shadorun, divinity) so I'm not really in a hurry despite how hyped I am.

I am beyond excited for this! It was one of the first kickstarters I ever funded and now its finally coming out! My dreams of the renaissance of the WRPG might finally come true. Its almost too much to dream for.

I'm sure there will be bugs in the initial release but I'm hoping that most of them are minor. *crosses fingers*

Are people confident this is going to be good? Startinh to get hyped and wouldn't mind taking advantage of one of the pre-order deals.

All signs point to a resounding yes. It's unlikely you'll regret buying it if you like the IE style of gameplay.

What happened to the GAF Inn? Did it make it?

It's most definitely in. Even showed it in one of their previous live streams.

If any of you are undecided or have remained in the dark regarding PoE, watch this recent video from PAX East. It's a bit long, but it's worth it.

Start here. (and gameplay itself starts shortly after the 11th minute mark)

I can't believe this game was off my radar. I loved D:OS and I'm currently finishing up my 1st playthrough of Wasteland 2.

Bloodborne and Pillars in the same week. I can't even. And Witcher less than 2 months away.

Edit: anyone know when they're sending out keys for backers? (I only have a Mac at the moment, so no beta for me).
