When I was playing during the EA access trial, I saw something jumping out of the water out of the corner of my eye in Everglades. I thought at first it was a player that had gone prone under water then stood to crouch, but there was no player there.

Your friend may not be lying.

Yeah, it's my first time actually filing a Paypal claim, and I've always been afraid of this stuff. Welp, guess it happens to everyone at least once. Hopefully it gets resolved in some shape or form.

I also found out that when my Origin account got hacked, as a safeguard Origin flagged one of my credit cards and I can't use it. So... Welp. Hasn't been a good morning so far. Gonna have to use my other card then... To get a game on Mexican VPN'd Origin =/

EDIT: Well Origin refuses to take Paypal or my other credit card for whatever reason. I guess EA doesn't want my money.

Not sure about them eating you, but I definitely saw a gator jump into the water during a Rescue match last night.

If you had your payment methods restricted after a compromise by EA you can contact the support team to have those lifted.

I just did. They said to use another credit card or Paypal for now. Both of those don't work. They also said to call my bank just incase

This took place over the course of I think an hour and my coffee is now cold.

I said fuck it and just bought it on GMG. The shit CAD put it at $65. Fuck it man, after it took that long just TRYING and failing to get the game at this point I just want to play the damn video game. I'll eat the cost and make up for it by working overtime next week.

Just did Conquest on Downtown and it's pretty good, I really like that map for it.

I wish LMG's were in classes. I'm having a blast but I pretty much used them exclusively during BF4. A huge bummer. Map pickups aren't the same. :(

Shame, could be that the bank is slow on the uptake if you had past fraud charges (sometimes takes a few hours for the bank systems to propagate).

Those "battle rifles" are pretty badass though. I think maybe they thought that bipods were too slow for the pace they were going for.
 
The only real complaint I have at this point is the game is fucking dark.

I have my brightness set at 70% right now and it still seems pretty dark. Most other games are right on the money on default on my Xbox/TV but this one is crazy dark.

Yeah I'm assuming it's something with the bank. I'll just give them a call later

Anyways, has anyone on PC had any real bad screen tearing problems? I'm using a GTX 770 2GB. With V-Sync on and off I get some really bad screen tearing. Gonna try and fix it through Nvidia control panel.

I unlocked both of them in the beta (haven't unlocked them yet in release). One sucked, one was pretty good. I forget which was which, but it's possible they've changed anyways. But they're pretty much like the "light" LMG's from BF4, like the RPK's and IAR, which were my favorite anyways. Hardline seems to have gotten rid of the slow, heavy, bipod monsters like M60 or PKP.
 
Well, I've gone back and forth on whether I'll be returning my pre-ordered copy once it arrives. I think I'm keeping it. I've been itching for something different FPS-wise and I'm only paying 48 bucks for the PS4 version (not bad since up here in Canada it's listed as 70 new).

Hope I don't regret it but I get the feeling that I'll get my money's worth.
 
How does money work in this game? I played EA Access for a few hours, and I kept getting money and had no idea what to do with it... is it like Counterstrike?

You then buy Battlepacks and unlocks.
Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge improvement over BF4's unlock system.

You pick what guns and upgrades you want.
If you want to play sniper but you don't like the starter gun you can save up money as a mechanic and use the money to buy a good sniper.

Battlepack now gives you vouchers that you can use to redeem for any guns you want, instead of bf4 where it'd give you stuff you never use.
 
We need a list on who's playing on what. In the BF4 OT we had a google doc link where everyone could add their online ID along with the GAF user name.

I'm tubiedos on PS4 if anyone wants to add me btw. I plan on playing lots of Conquest, TDM and Hotwire.
 
You know what ... This game does look pretty interesting, although I never really liked the Cops vs Robbers stuff.

I didn't get a chance to play the Alpha - are there smaller maps / game modes for up to like .. 12-16 players (or less)? I assume this game would benefit from smaller game types.

There's like, 2 5v5 modes and then I think the new modes are designed for 32 players.
 
Had a pretty damn good time playing Rescue(can't wait for Rainbow Six: Seige), and an absolutely terrible time playing TDM. It needs a TDM SMALL variation something serious, because spawning doesn't get any worse than how it currently is.
 
Random question, I updated the battlelog app but can't figure out how to switch it over to Hardline from my BF4 stats. Always found editing load outs to be easier via the app so you can see my problem.

edit: never mind. Settings > select game

Rescue is among my fav modes.
TDM is just rubbish.
Can't believe they still include it.

Yeah been hearing some fantastic things about Rescue. If anything I think it just means people REALLY want Rainbow Six Siege to be good. Hope I get into the closed beta or whatever they're planning.

I'm on episode 4 of the single-player. It definitely is a lot more... Well like a real single-player mode. A lot more of one than whatever was in BF3 and BF4. Reminds me more of Bad Company in that it doesn't feel like some really half-baked single-player, and actually feels like they put some real work into it. Only thing I can say so far is that I hope they were deliberately going for a "it's a parody of a typical TV cop drama!" because if that's what they're going for then it's alright. Can definitely see how this could take 7-8 hours. Been playing for about 2 to 2 and a half and I'm only on episode 4 and there are I think 11 episodes?
