Yeah, its the one thing thats put me off buying the whole season. With an i7 and a 970 i still get dips into single digit framerates when using barrys sniper scope, its ridiculous

Going to test a few areas of Resident Evil Revelations 2 with the PC Performance patch that has given me difficulty, come back with a report how it works for me in a bit.
Are you referring to the bug where the game doesn't let you move? The first time I tried the fight it worked fine, but then encountered the bug on every subsequent attempt. I'm able to do the fight now with this patch, but it could just be a coincidence...

PS4 got a patch a couple days ago, users reported it's running better, not perfect, but a lot better. See if anyone here can chime in with more information.

Okay, PC performance patch did help definitely. the part in Claire's episode 3 where they're in the burning factory and you have a time limit, which used to run like, 10-20 fps for me, now runs a perfect 60fps.

Also can confirm that one Raid Mode stage in the snow from RE6 that used to lag me and I know many others back also now runs pretty smoothly (not perfect 60fps, but ran 40-50 fps, which is better than the previous 15-25 it supported).
Not all issues are fixed though, game still has that stuttering when loading issue for me, the thing where when it first loads an area the game has some freezes for the first 5 - 15 seconds. But, progress!
Edit: The stuttering may be amplified by me rendering out two videos in Sony Vegas, will test again when no longer having my computers CPU being consumed by that. XD;

Started the struggle on survival yesterday but only played until the first checkpoint, I'm curious to see if it's really as hard as people say, hope I don't get frustrated lol.

Proof is in the pudding. Made a very quick video to show the FPS is fine in the factory. Run at 72060fps on YouTube for best results.

Thank god! When I played through the mines area on Barry's Episode 3, the framerate chugged like crazy, yet everything before then was 60fps or above. For anyone who has played that portion, the end of it gets pretty crazy and trying to deal with the challenge along with a poop framerate really sucked.
I also get the sniper scope issue with the framerate dropping drastically when trying to snipe.
I was playing through the game, but the poor rendering issues annoyed the hell out of me. At least now I should be able to enjoy the rest of the game with a solid framerate.
By the way, can anyone tell me how long those two bonus episodes are? Trying to get a feel of how long it'll take me to finish this game. I want to be done with the campaign before Bloodborne drops.

I played the first episode of the PC version last night with my wife (she had too much fun throwing bricks at enemies). The local co-op works perfectly. I don't know if there's a way to display a map of the area full-screen, but I enjoyed exploring and backtracking through areas with a tiny bit of help from the objective marker somewhere in the corner of the minimap. The melee is good enough, don't understand the complaints. It feels like the developers were going for a 50/50 split between classic tank-control survival horror RE and 3rd person action-horror RE, and over the top melee moves would disturb that balance. That said, would be nice if you could have a melee prompt after shooting them in the leg (maybe there is a prompt and I haven't seen it yet). Really fun, loving the level design and atmosphere, looking forward to the rest of the game.

I've you're already up to Barry's Ep 4 - just beat Claire's ep 3 again, quit when you finish it the other way, and then load Barry's ep 4 and beat it. All there is to it.

speed run on casual Claire's episode 3 skipping all the fights you can and just beat the boss doing what you need to do to set up the good ending...took me 24 minutes...

Started playing Chapter 4. Fell off the outside of the tower like 4 times. 5th death was Claire trying to outrun the countdown and running right into a glasp. Frickin' BS. Heh

Part way through Barry's right now. Only death so far was Nat instead of walking across the single plank bridge she decided to jump off of it into the abyss.

Well, I think whole point of The Struggle was to be a more challenging bunch of maps, so...
The Rev 1 connection goes much deeper than what you've seen so far, starting in Episode 3. But anyone can read up on that game and follow along just fine.
