God of War III Remastered Soon on PS4

I like remasters but who hasn't played this at this point? Unless they're gonna port the entire series seems like a waste. I just don't see a market for this one. Maybe I'm just biased and burnt out do to replaying threw the entire series off and on since beginning of the year.

Plenty of people.

This is a new gen.

And that was a great value. If this is GOw3 for $40, it's not.
I agree. I was replying to a poster who said they would charge $50 for each game. I posted the pic to prove that SSM have given us deals of great value before, so I can see them doing it again.

everybody knows that the ~200 people of Sony Santa Monica have been working on this remaster and nothing else.

No new games for you, never.

People crying about yet another remaster and calling it the remaster generation should try and list the games that have actually been remastered this generation until now, because there's not nearly as many as you seem to believe.

This remastered has no sense. And no, don't say "It's for people which didn't play the original on PS3", because GOW 3 is a final chapter of a trilogy, you won't understand NOTHING of it if you didn't play at least GOW 2. So people interested in GOW3 already played it. It would make sense a remastered trilogy, not GOW3 alone.

Sony is doing nothing than remastered, the few new titles they released are all mediocre games (Knack, Killzone Shadow Fall, Infamous Second Son, The Order).
Uh, I played GoW3 on PS3, hadn't played the others....I enjoyed the game and understood everything just fine.

PS4 is my first Sony console. I was fine just using PS now if I ever got the itch to play this game. It would take something pretty drastic to make me consider spending $50 on this remaster.

LOL, ever heard of this?
latest

This was the whole saga for the price of one game, except Ascension.

I bought that for $10, new, a couple of months ago. Couldn't resist.

It's a July game. Sony was at 0 exclusives in July, now they're +1.

Even if you don't like remasters, it's a net positive. Unless you're one of those 'negative games' folks.

Still haven't finished it on PS3 yet, it just felt so dull.
This is a remaster I have zero interest in, I don't understand why they feel like this is worth remastering considering some of the other more interesting properties available.

You know, I don't really have any issue with remasters. But I know his wont be priced right, it's the third game in a series of 6, and its 5 years old.

I don't think that's going to fly with people.

How about they just go ALL the way. The WHOLE God of War series remastered in 1080p and 60 fps!

That's something I'll buy.

PS5 will probably have an Ultra HD remaster of everything in PS4 and the remasters!

People will complain about anything, yeesh. Looking forward to this, a crisp 1080p will look damn good.

Still waiting on the rumored Ascension and Beyond Two Souls remasters. I skipped them on PS3.

Or the games that have been remastered by Sony for the PS4.

I haven't.

Halo 4 is only 7 months older than TLOU and Halo 2 was a remake.

The proposition of the Master Chief Collection was a bargain (bugs aside).

True. That doesn't make the price of TLoU: R any less understandable. It sold really well so they made the right choice

Dang, jokes aside, the PS4 is turning out to be a fantastic PS3.

Do you think GOW3 Remastered will be less then 40$?
I know of that Collection. There's also the Legacy Collection for MGS, but the point is in this gen they are selling remastered single titles instead of bundled one for basically the same price of the "bundle".
Yep, because you're from an alternate universe where this already released, right? I don't care what other devs do, but I have faith SSM won't rip us off

Wow, awesome! Lucky you.

2015 is the year of remasters for Sony: Tearaway, Gravity Rush and GOW3. Pretty sad first party output.

Tearaway is a remake, not a remaster. There's no way you can straight port that game to the PS4 without changing the core mechanics of the game. Also, MM has already confirmed that Tearaway Unfolded will have 50% more content than Tearaway.

I feel really sorry for all of those people that hate remasters being forced to buy remasters. It really does suck, and I'm so sorry.

I mean, I get it! I know how cheap it is to develop games on next generation hardware, so there's no need to try and recoup those investment costs by creating simple ports/remasters of previously successful IPs for a quick infusion of profit that can do nothing but help the production of next generation IPs both old and new.

But yeah, I also hate being forced to buy video games I don't want. I wish I could just save my money and only buy the games that interest me, and ignore the ones that don't, but that's just how it is, I guess. So obnoxious.

Last gen HD collecions were 2-3-4 games, this gen Remastered are a single game in a box...
Only Halo did right.
Indeed, despite some issues that have since been resolved, Halo took the right approach.

These single remasters / definitive editions are getting far too numerous for my tastes, especially on PS4.
