you got 4 games 2 that were remade for just $60 yeah the game was broken for like 4 months but its still a better bargain than any other "remaster" that has come out.

I don't know why people keep acting like the reason people don't like remasters is because they feel like they have to buy them. They don't like them because they're a sign that video game developers have put themselves in a position where they make games that need re-releases just to be profitable. Everyone keeps saying "Remasters are good because these companies wouldn't make money otherwise." which is a pretty damning thing that shows how bad off the video game industry is. It's not a good thing that these companies need to re-release things just to make money. There has to be a way that these companies could make games that don't need remasters to make them profitable, which opens them up to make something new instead of putting a bunch of people on a port of yet another old game.

It also reinforces the idea that technological updates are more important then trying to push the industry forward.

Like it or not, most people didn't buy new consoles to play remasters. This gen is even worse if you own a gaming PC.
A few old classics remastered is fine but look at the releases on PS4 and Xbox One right now, it's ridiculous imo. My Xbox one is gathering dust and the PS4 would be too if it weren't for the recent release of Yakuza 0.

Yeah, from a series perspective 3 seems like such an odd choice. I feel like GoW 3 is a lot like Halo 3. It is very much a continuation of the installment that preceded it storywise. 3 never felt like a stand alone game to me so seeing it released as a lone remaster seems odd, I guess? I guess they felt that with the prior games already receiving hd rereleases they couldn't go back to that well again. :-\

I assume that if this does well Ascension will get the same treatment. Ascension was the only part of the series I haven't played so maybe I'll check it out if that comes to the PS4.
