BLOODBORNE Spoiler Thread (read OP)

God i can't choose. I love halberds but the hunter's axe is str focused and i love scythes but that's dex focused. Might be forced to go quality build.
 
does anyone know if you can preorder at gamestop with a gift card?
gamestop's got a preorder bonus but I don't know if I can use the gift card to pay for it. they look like on their website that they have an option for the reward zone redemption cards but not gift cards
 
So it looks like I'll start out with lone survivor since I'm new and the extra health will help me. What's the best way to level up? Follow the way the class was originally set up?

I keep staring at the unlock timer on my digital pre-order, and sharing screenshots every other day to my friends on my PSN list. Then we hype out.

Also, hey guys call your gamestops and ask if they are going to sell the game at the same time as the PSN digital release, because here in Colorado the PSN release is 10PM. Most of the games I've preordered before have had a preload in advance and then it unlocks 12 EST. Which is about 2-3 hours ahead of us here in Colorado.

I called and found out to call back Monday for when to come in for pre-ring and pick my copy up at 10pm.

Mind you I have a CE.
 
How does weapon upgrading work? Does it just cost blood echos? Or are there materials to grind like in the previous souls games?

You can only use the coupons when you actually check out on Tuesday

Here's some tips on leveling. First, each piece of gear (weapons, most notably) has a stat requirement - focus on meeting these first. Second, each weapon and some items (molotovs, for one) scale with certain stats (deals more damage as you raise those stats. for example, a strength scaling weapon or item will deal more damage the higher your strength is). Increase the relevant scaling stats if you want more damage. If you want more longevity or combat effectiveness instead, increase your vitality and endurance, respectively. Repeat as necessary. It's worth noting that stats soft-capped (experienced diminishing returns) at a certain point in previous games, so watch out for that.

lol i'm working and all i can think about is this damn game, probably i'll play 2 o 3 hours when finally i'll be at home, even if i'm tired as shit lol
This game is sooo damn good, discovering the hidden streets of yharnam is amazing
I'm stucked with the fourth boss

she is kicking my ass so hard lol and the difficulty in the area before that fight, is a serious business

I remember someone quoting someone saying that this game is a tribute to Lovecraft and I definitely get that Lovecraft in Victorian Gregorian London vibe with the bosses and world.

Especially the
Church and their Gods.
really gives me that Lovecraft boner.

It cost 6 silver bullets I believe so there is a limit of how much a person would spam it plus it is a good balance to prevent firearm spam if this becomes possible. Reserving your bullets for what matters at the moment.
 
I'm kind of lost and need help finding a location in the first area-

there was a door where they asked for a password. I thought it was near the cathedral ward, but I can't find it again...

are you sure that it uses 6 bullets? I didn't notice that. if that's the case then nvm, it's fine; I thought you could just spam it non-stop.
I don't really see a problem with firearm spam, on the contrary, you're going to get punished hard if you do that.

Yea he goes from 20 silver bullets to 14. And I would underestimate the power of parrying with firearm in pvp

I have it pre-ordered on PSN, when I check the game out in my library it says expected auto-download date 3/22/2015, and playable in 1 day 23 hours 9 mins.
