BLOODBORNE Spoiler Thread (read OP)

^^^^LOL!!! Mobius just rekt that Chalice dungeon boss...

idk if he is just really good or extremely lucky

Brah, that boss is like the first tier of the dungeon.
I don't even want to think what is on the other side on the 4th tier.

I can see why the devs are having problem doing Chalice on NG.

This game has a lot of quality content. I am surprised how much From managed to squeeze in there considering the short dev cycle. They have been operating on a whole new tier ever since DeS shipped.

Edit: From the info so far, I am estimating that the chalice dungeons will have
~44-48 levels/boss fights

Does anyone have a good recommendation on how to handle the boss
Father Gascoigne, in beast mode?
I have no problems with him in human form, but when he turns, he gets so aggressive and his reach is crazy... One hit from him and I can't manage to stand up and roll away before the next one hits.

Do we have any idea on what is online only for the game? Besides the usual online co-op/pvp jazz. I personally have zero interest in getting PS+, so I was merely curious as to what is not enabled in an offline run of the game.

I've never done a fully offline run in a first playthrough since Demon's Souls, so I'm quite hyped for that. Dark Souls II's online really helped me cheese the game. :3c

Thats insane when i read people aren't interested in ps+... I just dont get it

I cracked and looked at the stream. WOW! this game has a lot going on. It runs so smooth and looks so good too. I can't believe it. Chalice dungeons seem really legit.

I think a lot of people, including me, thought it would be a small bonus game mode that will add some extra playtime to the game.

Wrong. There is more than 30 levels and boss fights that are partly unique (including OST) and can be insane hard. And this is just based off the info we know so far about the set dungeons. This is not a half heart-ed attempt to increase the longevity of the game.

I can easily see people sinking 10s of hours in the chalice dungeons alone.

And people can make their own chalice dungeon and share it? Or am i wrong on this?

The other thing that is crazy about them i how many assets there are. I think if the reviewers have gotten a good view of the chalice stuff it would be hard to imagine this game not reviewing well.

It's amazing that they have made these intricate, interesting premade chalices. I had been thinking that they would only be randomized and shortish.

Edit: I'm looking at the stream on "low" and it still impresses.

Re: Chalice dungeon rewards
New weapon drops from Chalice Dungeons are confirmed. He got Beast Claws.

The game oooozes atmosphere.

YO THAT BEAST CLAW DOE

Oh my sweet Baby Jesus. That TRAP LOOKS AMAZING>

Edit: This guy is really good, but he's dying some too. The chalice dungeons don't mess around.

I had this problem too. It was late night and I didn't want to spend whole night trying to master his swift moveset. During farming I've had like 10 molotovs and a couple of oil urns.
I easily got him to phase 3 and then oiled him and burned him down. It seems that's a really nice tactic for lots of bosses and mobs. 37lvl here.

There's a very rare item for PvP that coats your weapon in poison and the next hit with it on another player causes their controls to be inverted for a short time/disorients them (walking left will make you go right, backwards will make you go forward, etc.)

DAMN!!!!
