Playtesters can be the worst sometimes.
Have they stated whether they'll atone for that. Y'know, not try to shy away from sci-fi in a sci-fi franchise.

Maybe not another beta but I am expecting there to be a dedicated experience that falls on the other end of the Halo MM side of things. (BTB) I could see that being their big E3 reveal, which could be why we are starting to see SP stuff earlier. (didn't somebody at 343 say the new few weeks should be interesting?)

No, seriously, even in terms of long-term projections, projectile weapons have a lot going for them in terms of use and logistics.
Could be, and it also could culminate in a release date announcement. You might be onto something w/the finale next week with "bread crumbs" in between especially if they are trying to do some ARG thing.
Also for reference Halo 4's November release date was announced mid-April of that year.
We've already seen a teaser video added to the tumblr site for this, and a countdown to a teaser trailer for the full thing a week away would be a little underwhelming imo.

If I'm not mistaken, TWD has one of the biggest audiences in the US, so that's exactly where they want to show it off.

Your logic makes sense and im not sure either, but i dont know enough about marketing to say why they chose that timeslot.
I meant more in line with human projectile weapons. I'm not saying scrap them altogether, but I'd like to see more alien concepts get some love as well. Humans have discovered slipspace travel so you'd think something like that would be weaponized. Or stuff like gravity gauntlets.

Of course. It's huge. But, I get a short teaser that tells you to go to the website but an actual trailer? I doubt it.

343 need to gamble more, players can be wrong. Casual players probably used the AR and other human weapons more than anything in CE but doesn't mean the needler or plasma pistol sucks. I would rather have distinct and new sandbox experiences than the boring carbon copy alien variants of human weapons. Take a risk and if playtesters don't use it, so what, is it good and functional in the sandbox, ship it and they might come around or stick to what they like which is no bad thing, can't please everyone.

After witnessing their handling of Halo: Nightfall I'd rather they never attempt a TV series again.
Nightfall wasn't their main show...
The real one being worked on with Steven Spielberg is not out yet.

I think that may be overly dismissive. Players do tend to gravitate to more consistent, reliable weapons, it's why human weapons have always been more popular than covenant weapons. Halo has kind of always had a problem with this, the games have lots of neat weird utility guns but they aren't balanced well against the standard arsenal. That's not to say 343i shouldn't take more risks with the forerunner guns, but there are legitimate game design challenges here beyond wanting to appeal to "the cod and madden crowd".

Way to use a single scene from Forward Unto Dawn as vindication that the whole series is good. Way to use Bungie era trailers to defend 343 era work. I'm arguing they can't produce a good TV series, yet you think producing cool 2 minute scenes is proof they can. Try again please.

Way to imply Bungie created these trailers...... Just because Bungie was developing Halo at the time does not mean they are responsible for the creation of these ads and shows.
Forward Unto Dawn is a great series for what it is... a web series just like Nightfall.

No thanks. I'd rather they continue making TV series and maybe eventually, Movies. Looking at past Halo media in those areas, there has been alot of great content in there which goes to show that Halo works in that medium, both in CG and Live Action
I still want my movie by Blur. Make it happen Frankie.

You seem to believe that cool, 2 minute commercials and scenes created under 343's oversight are proof they can make a good TV series. Yet with Nightfall they showed that to not be the least bit true. And I never once implied Bungie created those cutscenes, I said it was created during the Bungie era AKA Bungie oversight. 343 oversight led to us watching a group of characters being hunted by worms for 90 minutes. RIVETING.

I didn't know Neill Blomkamp worked for Bungie, you learn something new every day. That Bungie oversight went on to make the most mundane gameplay and "story" I've ever had to go through in gaming........
Whether you like it or not a TV series for Halo is already in development with Steven Spielberg so it doesn't matter if you want to see it happen as it is happening.
