Halo 5 Guardians: #huntthetruth

High budget and Ridley Scott don't mean that it's a guaranteed great movie.... Prometheus for instance.

I didn't say anything about how the movie was, did I?

The point is, they wasted a high budget for a Ridley Scott produced Halo movie. Nightfall isn't better than FuD, in terms of production like better effects and story/writing.

Question is, if FuD was a low budget movie (which still cost 10 about million US$), what do you think Nightfall cost them just for the Ridley Scott name?

To me, Nightfall was written as a film then decided to be a mini series and the episode breaks were added after. Structurally it feels closer to a film then a show.

If anyone wants to play some MCC before the big reveal, I'll be on in a little. Message me! Gamertag = kittens dx.

I will be happy if this just starts the "PR" ball rolling. I am very anxious to see more about this game.
Right? We've seen absolutely nothing from the campaign since E3 2014, though we've got a few hints via the MCC and Nightfall.

Didnt like his voice acting in Prologue and epilogue scenes. But dude was good in the TV series.
Agreed. He did really well in Nightfall, but his Halo 2 anniversary prologue performance was cringeworthy. I think he just needs to adjust to voice acting where you're alone in a room and don't have the other actors to base your performance off of. I hope his VO skills improve for Halo 5... I know he's capable of better, judging by Nightfall.

Halo ads are famous for showing cool shit that never happens in the game.

Halo 4 actually came the closest of any Halo title to actually delivering on that cool shit in the game.

Edit: In fact, after watching that trailer again, Halo 4 has plenty of stuff in game that absolutely blows that trailer away in terms of how cool or badass it looks. Remember the epic skydive onto a Cov ship to try and prevent the Didact from leaving Requiem? And there's plenty of other really badass examples.

Yeah I've always wanted the game's climax to be a QTE

Halo 4 was pretty good. It had by far the least bullshit compared to the other campaigns. It didn't have any bad levels. It's highs weren't as high as the other games but it's lows weren't anywhere near as bad as Cortana or the second half of 2.

Also the QTE finale wasn't that bad. Would have been better served as just a cutscene though.

You mean the campaign based around pressing buttons wasn't bullshit?

God jem, I just. Ugh.
Better it be a series of well staged combat sections leading up to a really cool QTE/cutscene ending as opposed to that laughably bad warthog escape scene at the end of Halo 3.
I could not disagree more. Laughably so.

It had that go here, press this, go here press that vibe to it at times, no denying that, but it's easily the best of the Halo campaigns as far as I'm concerned. It was the most exciting and easily the best paced.

So you're saying that warthog escape at the end was actually good and not pretty damn horrible? Please. :)

I'm having trouble believing that some of these people are even fans of the franchise.

Example:

These feel like parody posts to me.

In terms of pure gameplay nothing in Halo 4's campaign comes close to Halo 3.

Surprise, surprise, there are people who disagree with you. I'm one of the few Halo fans that pretty much ignore and don't play the MP at all, but love the campaigns, and I feel Halo 4 was easily the best one of them all.

So you really aren't a fan. Multiplayer built Halo as a franchise.

Halo 4 campaign. Not enough residentsleepers in the world. Finished about half decided it wasn't even worth finishing.

Literally cant remember one thing about the campaign part I had played.

Just forgettable.

I also stopped but I came back after someone spoiled Cortanas...ending...

Halo 3's last level is Chief comming back to the Halo CE control room, Seargant Johnson dying, Chief and Arbiter finishing the fight and escaping. This is much better than Halo 4's terrible "Press LT to kill" ending...

Nobody can forget that warthog engine sound but we all wish it were so.

Oh come on now, this is complete and utter bullshit. The campaign is just as important if not far more so than multiplayer to a massive amount of Halo fans.

I'm having trouble believing that some of these people are even fans of the franchise.

Example:

This type of comment is just ridiculous.

"You like Halo 4? You clearly aren't a real fan"

Calm down guys. You never heard anyone else say that? People used to have huge Halo CE lan parties. Halo 2 had live and it was huge, millions upon millions played. The campaign was seen as bad.

Also, everyone makes fun of every campaign after Halo 1.

For the record, I vastly enjoyed the campaigns I'm just speaking from my experience.
