BLOODBORNE Spoiler Thread (read OP)

With Chalice dungeons looking the way they look, it seems like even if the main game isn't as challenging as some desire, there is a hell of a lot more "end game" to this game

Dem one shots.

So I guess Sony is alright with streams since there's about 45 streams going.

I'm gonna stream too. Link is my homepage. I'm not extremely far or anything. Bout 5 bosses in.

haven't been watching mobius' stream, why:
is he still using the first weapon? i thought he was near the end? He just likes it?

From what I can tell, the difficulty starts high, but you will steamroll later as you upgrade your weapons and stats. Chalice dungeon will, however, keep a difficulty spike in later stages.

Different streamers have had wildly different experiences with the bosses, so super difficult, some super easy on the same boss.
Thanks guys. So it's a bit of a mixed bag right now. For example, poor wingman is getting rekt right now by a boss while one chalice dungeon looked really easy a few hours ago.

Edit: I see, seems like I've kept my self pretty spoiler free with the game's mechanics haha

The Chalice dungeons have levels of difficulty depending on the Chalice and the level of the dungeon I believe. So some are made for early on and some for the end of the game.

This game looks fun but after watching the hitbox.tv streams for the past couple days just a lot of things seem off to me.

The apparent easiness of many of the big bosses, notably the 8 blade wielding Hot Nurse, the randomness of some bosses such as the giant alien boss and the giant abyss in the later level that looks to have an outline of a city that just screams DLC to me. Also there's no magic, reused textures from past games, repetitive environments that seem to get old quickly and the fact that teleports are numerous but yet you have to go through 2 very long loading screens to get to a new location.

I don't have a PS4 and this would be the only game I'd look into one for, but while the game looks fun it also seems like a downgrade from Dark Souls 2 even. I'll see if I can ask my friend who has a PS4 to try it out and see if me playing it will change my mind, but at this point it seems like this will probably be a 7.5/10 game.
I'm hoping that Silent Hills, Tomorrow Children and Kingdom Hearts 3 turn out good cause Bloodborne is not looking to be worth a $500+ investment at this point, and this was supposed to be the system seller for a lot of hardcore gamers.
It's a real shame to be honest, but again I still need to play it and I'm hoping I'm wrong.

Rationalyounggun...lol

So going off of Kevin Van Ord's Twitter account, the embargo doesn't lift until Monday night. I guess this will be a 12am EST, 9pm PST embargo instead of what we thought of 10am EST, 7am PST.

Ok, I think I'm going to bite day one... Do we have details on the CE vs. normal? Mainly interested in the art book -- do we know how big it is? DS came with a mini-strategy guide which was cool, this doesn't though.

So to any gaffer that's played? Pls answer.. Does the character have weight to it or is it more floaty like in DS???

wingman still getting destroyed by this boss, gg uninstall.

btw I confirm again that Chalice dungeon with co-op is going to be a blast.

what? There is no item burden/equip load if that's what you're asking.

That's cool but yeah not many people have the same opinion but DS was floaty to me like the character had no weight at all.... I love ds2 movement though... And the I frames being to agi was cool to me....

Most people hold the opposite opinion of you and think that DS had a feeling of weight while DS2 felt off. I'd probably be one of those people.

Added damage of that specific type, no other effects other than purely visual.

Do you know if there is any other type of
paper that can add effects, I remember Mobius using something that made his blade ghostly

Also how rare are
throwing knives?
They scale with skill and I might want to use them if they can also parry like bullets
