I'm about 15 hours in and if the game holds up throughout, I'm predicting 90+ metacritic; easily. This feels like From's Ocarina of Time. Everything you love about Souls is back, yet it somehow feels like a fresh experience: The world is huge, lots of branching paths, random events that change the way you progress though the game, challenging bossfights, enemy variety, it runs well and looks gorgeous, ...

The loadtimes are a pain and some might call it visually less varied than other Souls games (from what I’ve played). Other than that, I don't see any negatives. The hype is real

I sure hope so, but you'll have to forgive me from not believing random internet dude about exclusives. Especially Sony exclusives. Day one either way, but "From's Ocarina of time" made my eyes roll up into my head.

From the stuff I've seen on neogaf alone, I wouldn't think it runs well at all. People keep saying it runs better than the Souls games on consoles. What kind of ridiculous thing is that to say? I can live with 30fps if it's locked or dips every now and then. Massive drops in frames is not acceptable no matter how hard people try to spin it.

Thanks for this. I think I'm gonna pick Noble Scion as my class after reading about what they each specialize in.

I find myself tempted to go noble scion due to the unknown nature of it. I'm not sure how good it'll be for guns, and I'm not sure how dsirable the gear will be that requires this stat to equip... so, because I'm feeling a bit subversive, I think I just might go noble scion.

Scythe is likely a Skill weapon.

But I'm going strength because 2STRONK. Starting with Violent Past, going hammers, greatswords, clubs, the works.

No, but apparently you can invade with you character name instead of your PSN name.

Just know that launch day is a very unique time in a Souls game. The multiplayer activity is through the roof. It is a special time that won't be repeated in the games life cycle again. If you get the game later, you will miss out. Multiplayer will still be there, but it never reaches the insanity of a launch day.
