Came here to say the same thing, my PSN had been counting the hours down but then switched to this when it hit the right time.

Never had this problem before with US purchases.

Same problem here. Under Information for the game it says it's eligible to start and the Valid Period says 37 mins ago, but the timer has changed and I can't boot. Tried rebooting, tried switching around my accounts, booting the PS4 logged into US account etc. Hoping someone on here has a solution, but at least if they don't the wait is just 9 more hours for me.

Same here bud. Sounds like they changed the policy with battlefield hardline. Can't get around it with a vpn either.
