Bloodborne |OT| Now With Newcomers Guide Attached Below OP

Would love to help some people out on the early boss fights. I'm a little bit farther than most people because I had the game all weekend, however I am unsure of how to join other players games. Can anybody help me out here?

Wanna use weapons that scale well with Skill? Then Professional. If you want to be able to try out all the weapons, Military Veteran.

Just exit the game from the menu. The game autosaves all the time. When you log back in, you'll be where you left off.
 
I honestly expected over 100 pages by the time I woke up. Step up your game gaf.

Now it is time for me to wait for my game to be delivered, and then sleep again before I get to play it.
 
Put in an hour. Really enjoyed it, the atmosphere is haunting, and the faster pace of combat paired with that makes for a sense of dread and helplessness. Got my ass handed to me by the first boss. Had a few server issues, but that would be my only issue so far.

Off tomorrow and will be able to put a ton of more time into it. Glad to see everyone is enjoying it.
 
Im in UK and bought from US store but the timer says I can't play for two days. Even on my US account it won't work

This doesn't normally happen. I remember it did once with mordor snd I had to re download it.

Anyone else with this problem?
 
So I decided to cancel my gamestop order and bought this digital...its downloading right, but i thought one of the features of the PS4 was that you can play while downloading, is that only for people that buy a physical copy of the game or do I have to wait until its half way downloaded or something like that

Press Options while highlighting the game on the dash and go to information. From there you should see the amount of GB you've downloaded out of the full size of the game. It downloads the rest of the game in the background while the system is on. I usually put my PS4 in rest mode with big games like this with the hope that it prioritizes more download speed to go faster.
 
Disappointed there's not "hide hud automatically" option like on Dark Souls 2. The game is really hard with no hud and plasma don't like huds.

If you die or warp there from Hunter's Dream, sure.

Using the Quit Game function while playing normally will save every bit of progress you've made from when/wherever you started, down to the exact spot. Used a consumable? Autosave. Looked at the menu? Autosave. Break a jar? Autosave.

The only way to "lose" progress is dying.
 
All right, I've been going back and forth on this, but some Destiny Gaffers convinced me to pick this up. Heading to Gamestop tomorrow morning. If for some reason they don't have it, I'll get it digitally.

did you find the messenger bath next to the work shopping area of the dream? Use insight to buy the coop and invading bells. You have to kill the third boss before you can, I think. At least I couldn't before that.
 
the fuck is these load times. and I thought the previous games were bad on PS3.


I expected the shit framerate but not these load times for some reason.
 
Is the 5gig day one patch already out? Do we have patchnotes?

what's up with people complaining about the load times? I'm 15 hours in and have no problems at all with them. Yes, would be nice if they would be shorter, but it doesn't hinder my enjoyment of the game.

Thanks for the replies guys, there it is. Damn, I wish it had fully pre-loaded, I'd assumed it had. Minor annoyance on the overall scale of things.
 
Aliasing is really noticeable unfortunately and the load times are pretty brutal.

Oh well... still having fun so far.

And you can't level up or repopulate the world without going to the hub, meaning at least 2 loadscreens :/
 
So, how do you throw pebbles/molotovs. I have them but I don't see them or know how to use them. Sorry, this is sort of my first real attempt at a Souls-esque game.
 
Has anyone who got the game early posted the credits anywhere? I want to see if SCE Japan was as involved with the game as they were on Demon's Souls. By which I mean hardly involved at all.

I hear you have to fight (but not necessarily defeat) the first boss before you can level up.

Make sure you have them equipped and selected, press square to use whatever consumable is selected.

So how fast is the combat in this compared to the souls series? I liked hiding behind a shield in the souls games but the aggressiveness intrigues me. Can't wait to play it tomorrow when I get off class.
