It always does it automatically, no need for you to do anything. Take one step forward, then quit the game? You'll start at that exact spot you walked to. Used a healing item? Autosaved.

No loadings once you're in the world, but if you die in same spot you're going to spawn, it's still a 20s(or more) loading screen before you spawn.

Glad that by the time I actually get to this the load times will have been reduced. Shame they couldn't fit it in before launch though.

So how fast is the combat in this compared to the souls series? I liked hiding behind a shield in the souls games but the aggressiveness intrigues me. Can't wait to play it tomorrow when I get off class.

Speed feels a touch faster, at least from how I remember DS being. I find myself wanting to block, as the dodge has been hit or miss with my timing / positioning thus far. I'm sure I'll adjust to the new style of approaching combat, but right now, I miss my shield.

Just thought this may be added to the backstab description:


Backstabs? to perform a backstab, sneak up behind an enemy and
hold R2 to do a charged attack. if it lands the enemy will be briefly
stunned. press R1 for a high damage visceral attack animation.

This actually doesn't always work however when a successful charged R2 attack hits you will have an audio queue that will mean it was successful and you can now go for the backstab with R1.

Yes. Some people (most?) will tell you to go in blind but I did a ton of research into dark soils 1 (my first) and had a ton of questions awnsered while I was playing it. If i hadNt I would have easily quit on the game, and now the series is one of my favorite ever
