People who are dying on the cleric beast using a cane you can get the Sawcleaver before facing him.

Just turn left on the stairs and go down on that dark path, until you find some dogs in cages. Kill then and just ahead there will be a stair leading down and an ominous window with some red light. Go down those stairs but before you face one man beast on the stairs there is a secret passage blocked by some barrels to the right. Go down the passage and you will see two bodies hanged walk the narrow path to then and cut the rope. The saw cleaver is on the furthest one. Just be aware that you will fall down to the sewers below when you cut the rope and face some rats. They are easy to kill (use the wip) you will find a ladder to take you back to where you started.

Hopefully you guys can find it.

And I have a question too, I killed the Cleric Beast, found the Saw Cleaver and the Hunter Clothes but I can't find where I should go next.

I can't make the elevator work (the one guarded by two brick giants).

Help?

I got a weapon from that area, but it was not the
saw cleaver, it was the saw spear
. Not the same weapons. I haven't used the cane, so I can't compare the two, but the weapon you find does less damage per hit than the axe, but it is a lot faster.

No I've played them all. Touching a lantern does not respawn enemies and having to go to the Hunter's Dream to teleport to another area makes you go through 2 long load screens. It's annoying.

Oh, good to know. I will see today at midnight. Hopefully.

Wtf it's still not up? Knowing the fucking utterly terrible speeds I get on PS4 (500kbps on a 100mbps connection, what?), they better put the preload up soon. I want to play come midnight.

Yeah. It sucks. It is not like it is just some mere GBs...

On the bridge that leads you to the Cleric Beast, just turn left on the stairs before you face the two werewolves and go down on that dark house, keep going forward until you find some dogs in cages. the elevator is a shortcut to unlock later. just.. explore a bit. you definitely missed some route.

I'll be honest, I feel like I usually panic and mash buttons during encounters

Don't really feel any of my DS 1 and 2 experience helping me

It is in a sense of approaching enemies, but remember your evading skills are more reliable now. I should say they're more dependable.

Learn how you react after swinging your weapon and what it does to your enemy. Don't just keep mashing unless you have the opportunity to do so.

They will have to fix those shadow hits because I almost died in the sewers to an enemy wielding a meat "cleaver".

I was behind a wall, he was on the other side and I got hit two times through the wall. And no, I wasn't right next to it, I was quite a ways behind it, almost like I had lag in a multiplayer game and the server thought I was somewhere when on my screen I thought I was safe.

basically

im not used to games that throw you in the deep end and don't have clear cut goals and objective points

feels like it was designed primarily for souls veterans
It was like this before.
In demon's and dark 1.

Listen to the npc.
They tell you what to do and where to go.
Item descriptions are important too.
Especially from keys and things like that.

Hey I've been working the opening area and did some laps before I actually made one run at the cleric beast (he wrecked me), I started with the cleaver and I'm kind of at like 90 durability out of 200, so like how do you reforge your weapons and shit lol.

Because I like using it, and I'd like to keep going all hunky dory.

Go into the house in Hunter's Dream. Go to the table with the saws above it and guns on it.

OK looks like you have to have 10 insight before the merchant appears at the fountain in Hunter's Dream, now I just need to find another one. Have 7 and 2 skulls.

Well im going to sleep. Almost killed the Cleric on first try, ripped his face off or something somehow, but those screams are too much. Panicked and got killed. Probably should stock up on items too. Then again, now I can find my worth in the waking world.

Anyone else not seeing death spectres or normal play spectres that much or at all? Is it because of me setting my password to GAF's or just launch day problems?

Hi, I'm the super overly sensitive performance guy, thinking whether or not this is a purchase for me. Can someone who has a few hours under their belt please answer these:

1) How many times on average in a 10 minute time span would you say the fps drops below 30? How severe is it? 25-30fps severe, or 20-25 fps severe?

2) People are saying the load times are long. How long? Are we talking 20 seconds? 30? A minute?

Thanks!

So the game should pre-load itself even if I'm not at the machine, right?

Discovered how to be summoned and to invade.

You need 10 Insight to unlock a vendor in the Dream which will sell the Small Resonant Bell for co-op and the Sinister Bell for invasion.

Question:

Why you should go to Hunter's Dream when you die? I start right on the last lamp and continue my gameplay from there, Should I go to Hunter's Dream for any particular reason? Or is just that I'm at the first area and It doesn't bother me because of that?

I mean, a complain is that you have to go to Hunter´s Dream, and then back to your level passing through two loading screens but this does not happen to me, I start right into my last lamp.

Pretty sure it's a locked 30. Don't take my word on that, though.

The load times are VERY long. They will be patched soon though.

I made a gif of my favorite Bloodborne moment.

Yeah, lock on is horrible in all of the Souls series.
Free cam allows more angle of attacks and forward rolling to side easier.
Lock on gives you quick dodges in this one though. But I still leave it off for the bigger bosses.
So um, fourth boss spoilers:

How the fuck do you stop Vicar from healing? I'm at a total loss here.
Don't think you can, so I went all out while she was doing it in order to mitigate the healing.

i feel like i've seen such a small amount of them that it seems like it's not working properly

the "bloodstains" don't do anything either

So its not just me, and I guess not the fault of GAF's password. I've seen a few bloodstains work and a couple of other players, but more often than not, it seems like its having issues.

Break her arms. She will heal them with a special animation after a bit and you need to break them again. May just need to do one arm.
Or so I've heard.

You can get the
summoning bell for only one insight

Don't know if the entire game is going to be like this, but it's mostly below 30 anytime there's more than a single enemy, fire effects, breaking boxes, sprinting etc. Those that say they can't tell the difference between 30fps and 60fps sure as hell would if they'd been playing nothing but 60fps or higher for the past few months.

That sucks, I literally cannot dps her faster than her heal. And she does it so often. Am I missing some trigger to avoid?

Oh so that's how you get that one...do you happen to know how much they cost?
Is each one worth
10 Insight
? Or maybe once unlocked you only need
blood echoes
?

you can check to see if auto-download is enabled by selecting the icon in the menu. i think it was on by default for me

yeah, i haven't even touched the watchword setting yet

I've been trying to summon and invade since servers went live, to no avail. I'm assuming there's a level window and I'm at like 60 now. Catch up, everyone. :P

I am blaming GAF for why I am so tired today at school

My god I can barely speak

Fucking hell just reached the cleric beast 2 things
PS gold headphones make his screams all that much worst
2nd thing

I died when he was like, 1/8th hp

thanks miyazaki
