I must suck at this game I found him pretty tough. Kept backing up into walls and obstacles, and when I was going for a killing blow he'd go into berserker mode and take me down from full health with one combo.

he is pretty tough.. I had him on my 4th try.

I think the fastest was 40 hours. I heard it being done in 60-65+ hours.

So if I divide my average game time of three hours every so often into 60 that equates to 20 days to play and complete......

Then we say that I get to play about three times a week that means a very long time to actually complete it.....throw in The Witcher 3 in May and it looks I'm sorted until Christmas. Lol.

Waiting for EU preload... Does the game really have 40 seconds loading time or did they patch it?
Mine haven't been that long yet.

Also I just had my first death against those two (very very early enemy)
wolve things on top of the bridge after the big door with the big guy banging on it

I hope I was going the right way LOL

so you can use the password only with the small bell? I couldn't with the other one.

The password is just for you and your friend to connect in general so you don't connect with randoms and waste your Insight. Me and my friend just had the same passwords set so we can connect to each other only.

But what is the soul level limit? Must you be within 10 levels of each other?
This I have no clue I am lvl 20 and he is 19.

Ahhhh ok thanks. I'd noticed that fountain but every time I went there it said the messenger wasn't available to something. Thanks!

Np :)

So guys,
If I want to summon someone to help me or join there game, I need
insight points
right? Where can I get some I need help with the first boss :(

Just found out you can buy/loot
madmans knowledge, it gives you +1 insight points
. Not sure how much it costs though....

The skull items (Madman's knowledge) you pick up will give insight points to you , outside of that I believe it may be like souls games where you csn get insight(humanity) for helping defeat a boss. I didn't see any Bell signs though In my three hours though. Or does it not work like that?

I have Spring Break next week, and I didn't plan on playing this game, but it's reviewing so well I can't resist.... Never played a Souls game. Should I get Dark Souls for PS3 and save some money, or do we think that Bloodborne will be so much better that I should go for it? Is it so prohibitively difficult that I need to play one of the earlier games first?

without spoiling too much, where do I go? I beat two bosses.
I have the cathedral and old yarnham bonfires, but ultimately they all lead to death end paths. the only lead I have is that 10,000 soul emblem thing that I think might be to that gate, but I'm not sure if that's where I'm "supposed" to go right now or not.

Um. Wow. Sooo.. Yharnam's REALLY big, and there's so many branches after that I kinda forget, lol. But let me try to jog my memory...

Old Yharnam is the way to go. You have to dodge the gatling gun fire and keep pressing forward, but when you see a ladder DO NOT CLIMB ALL THE WAY UP to get the dude up there, he's way too powerful for us at our levels atm. You can climb up one level, and then drop off to a plank down below.

The enemies there are tough, but if you keep pushing through you'll unlock a couple shortcuts back to the Old Yharnam lamp, and if you continue down there you'll eventually find the third boss. Good luck!

You really can't go wrong either way. You may as well start with bloodborne, but you should definitely go back and play the souls games later as well.

Skull items? Hm, haven't found any... I also wonder if bells signs are visible just like notes.

yeah but my question is: how do I set the password? There is a gaf one so I'd like to try it.

also I killed 2 bosses but the starting weapons haven't been unlocked in the shop. how do unlock I them

HOLY SHIT. Just got a weapon I was not expecting already. Talk to the people in their houses guys, and check back with them frequently.

I know exactly what you're talking about ;)

Yep, they DEFINITELY intended for you to revisit all of Central Yharnam after the first couple bosses.

A mod said he restarted the game and they appeared

Bloodborne all the way man. The souls games arn't really difficult, they just ask more from you as a player than the average game now a days. Once you figure out the game's systems, they aren't as intimidating. Just know that trial and error is part of playing the game.

Okay, calm down GAF.

Bloodporn.

Okay guys, just checked tracking info and my Collector's Edition is now in my city.

Problem is, there are three Fed-Ex locations here and I can't figure out which one my game is being held hostage in, so I dunno where to break into.

Can't wait for my copy yo arrive - been avoiding almost everything about this game, so I know next to nothing...except that it's like dark souls and monster hunter or something.

Anyway - does this game make you stick with a specific load out? I've been thinking of going with hammer/sword since I liked the hammer in MH. What's the weapon of choice so far?

Ohh in game press the Options button to bring up the menu then go to the right where it says System click it and it will bring you to a list of options and you will see Network. In there set what password you like. As for the weapons im not sure they just popped as I progressed along.

So I killed the werewolves bare-handed and made it to the hunter's dream without dying. I didn't notice any special rewards, except maybe some extra blood vials and molotovs? Anybody else know something about this?

For the Hunter with the gatling gun i just climbed up the ladder really fast so he couldn't walk over to the center. Once up the ladder i didn't move forward, i shot him with my pistol till he fell off the ledge. If you aren't able to retrieve his items from where he fall just reload your game and you will be able to.

So whats the verdict on Load time Pre Patch and Post Patch?

Sounds like they are still very long and even using an SSD only shaves 10 seconds from the post I read

Does the patch even address performance?

The cane is so good! I have it upgraded at +2 and I beat the Cleric Beast on my first try. Took me 3 shot for Priest Cascoigne, tho. Never found the music box, nor him as a NPC to help me clear out some of the foes.

Now I'm in The Tomb Of Oedon and I seem to be stuck. There's a big tomb which you can see a crack under it, but I have no idea what to do to be able to move it.

There hasnt been a patch to address load times yet.

Man, i just tried my first coop, and woah the framerate was really bad in the area we were at, just me and one other person...
