I bought this game to play co-op with my friends. But reading through the OP seems like the multiplayer aspect is really limited. If true that's a major disappointment for me.

Yeah, the majority of players only summon partners for bosses, in which the partner will be booted out of your game once the boss is defeated (at least thats how it worked in the Souls games). You can't go through 100% of the game with a partner.

In Dark Souls, the level range for summoning was +/-10% of your Level. For example, a Level 50 character could co-op with players Level 35-65. Dunno what the range is in Bloodborne.

You can set a password so you can only summon or be summoned people with the same password. It's in the settings menu under Network.

It sounds silly but try meditation. 15 min of just deep breathing and clear your mind. You will feel better as all pain heals over time

- There is a sparkling item hanging off of the ledge in the cathedral ward that I cant seem to get to, right at the foot of the side stairs leading up to boss in cathedral (near scythe wielder)... how 2 get?

I invited that guy from the windmill in forbidden woods back to cathedral. He killed TWO OTHER NPCs (the old woman and the girl from the basement of unseen city... Did I mess up?!?! I had to kill him and it was difficult. Can you send infected people to another safe place? Like the clinic?

- There is a door in Cathedral area near the giant ball-mace swinging guy at the foot of stairs with pots everywhere... Cannot unlock... anyone know where the key is?

Miyazaki gives you one difficulty and you will like it!!!!
