Since I've mentioned a few gripes with the game I'll just say that the Audio is fantastic, maybe the best part of the presentation so far...

I keep hearing shit and turning around to find...nothing lol. Except once, once I got stabbed.

No one has found an invisible wall yet? I haven't either, just curious if they exist.

Also holy shit,
father gas
is super free to parries.

Real nooby question. On break in work. How do you get summoned? So far I've had to play offline due to waiting for whole game to download. I have the bell but that is for summoning someone right? How does that person get chosen? Previously we laid our signs.

Buy a different bell from the Insight vendor in the Dream after you have 10 Insight (but it only costs 1)

Me excited for a new toy and thinking I could run with the big boys and dive into a Souls game

Lol. You'll get the hang of it.

So I might be completely wrong here, but is there no reason to level up both skill and strength? Because I started with the axe, and from what I understood strength is tied to heavy weapons (like the axe?) while skill is tied to light weapons.

Beat Cleric Beast over lunch break. Went a lot smoother than before.
It feels like you can only stun him once with the gun and do an R1 critical hit, I couldn't replicate it more than once every time I fought him.

Anyhow, I just hugged one side of the bridge and kept my distance and made him leap over to me. As soon as he'd leap, I'd dash left/right around where he would land and do a couple R1s to the back and then run away. Camera lock-on is annoying during this fight because it can fuck you over, I haven't tried turning off auto camera adjust in the options which might help worsen this behavior.

Basically, just take your time. This fight will take a few minutes or more. Stay patient and don't get greedy and you will eventually drop him. If you feel like you have more time to attack, replace 2xR1s with a charged R2.

Yes. Unless you plan on experimenting with skill weapons and strength weapons it is better to go with a pure build. Axe scales with strength.

More guidance questions!

So I beat V
icar Whoever and
the W
itch of the Whatever
.

Now I'm totally lost.

I remember being told to ascend, but I keep hitting locked doors. Any advice?

Yeah,
go down the stairs instead of up outside cathedral to the right. (where the big axe guy is pacing.) When you get to the bottom there is a church with a tomb in the middle. Go around to pull lever to move tomb. Go down - that's old yarnham. Kill the boss there and the workshop opens.

I felt the same way when DS2 came out. In the end, I beat DS2 twice, then went back and beat DS1, made it about halfway through Demon Souls and now I'm playing Bloodborne. You'll get it and when you do, you'll feel awesome. Keep at it.

Sidequest spoiler/question early-game.

What did you all do with the
red brooch? I returned to the kid and gave it back to kid.

I am absolutely terrible at this game. Took me like 10 mins to figure out how to equip weapons. Now I'm in Yharnam just killing the same stuff over and over until I get ganked by the ritual dudes lol. I've avoided the brute with the cleaver, he decapitated me once already, fuck that guy

I decided to use the 1 hour break inbetween my classes to try some Bloodborne.

I turn on my PS4, 2GB system update, 2.7GB Bloodborne update.

Went to class before they had both even finished downloading. Didn't get to play my hour of Bloodborne.

I caved and bought the game via the US PSN. Download is going kinda fast too. Should be playing in an hour or so, I think.

Boxed copy arriving tomorrow as well.

LMAO, this is going to be me no doubt. I've put ~4 hours combined into Demon's Souls and Dark Souls so I'm going to get raped. I don't have much patience nowadays either :D

I'm not able to use the beckoning bell, the use button is greyed out... why :(

I only have 8 insight, is that why?

If you've already beat the area boss then you can't summon in that area. Try using it near the entrance to a boss room, it should work there.

Summoning only takes 1 insight

Second stage of boss 2 what to do? He's too damn fast for me to throw fire on him and his attacks knocks me down followed by a combo that can basically kill me off. Just lost all my health potions so now I gotta farm that as well .____.

How does the respawning of enemies work in this game? Is it like Dark Souls where they'll always respawn upon death, or Dark Souls 2 where they eventually disappear?
