I dont have the game yet, but I'm reading about the hunter set that is buyable on the vendor.... Wasnt also found though Yarnam around the first boss? or I'm mixing stuff?

It shouldn't affect the quality of your stream that's entirely dependent on your internet. It may affect actual game performance, but in my experience there's minimal impact from playing while something installs, maybe the occasional hitch.

don't drop into the sewers. run along where the two snipers are and go far right down the far side - you'll see a ladder going up. drop down to the platform and climb the ladder and you'll be on your way to the last shortcut in central yharnam.

Hint for a cool weapon after first boss:

Go back and talk to the sick guy at the window near the central yarnham lamp after beating cleric beast and he gives you a flamethrower
 
Hey I've got a dumb question, I'm in the EU and I'm considering buying this from PSN, but when does the game actually unlock? Is it at midnight or later in the day?

Try using the environment to your advantage! kite him, hide behind trees etc

Ahh, that's the one I want!
It is around the first boss area? No really need exactly to know where it is, just if you get it early or not (mainly because maybe I shouldnt spend echoes in the buyable hunter outfit).

I don't know about being over encumbered. I have mainly been upgrading STR first, then Vitality and End second. I'm also throwing some into Skill as well since that will affect weapon use.

Not exactly, but it's not too far from it. You can easily get it before you fight the boss.

Nope, there is no equipment load weight/limits in Bloodborne. Weapon durability is still a thing though.
Vit+End are always good to upgrade, Str/Skill depends on what weapons you like to use (how they scale) but an even amount in both isnt bad.
 
How do I use the beckoning bell? I've rang it at the entrance to the Father boss with the shotgun, but I'm not coming up with anything. How does it work.

I do have the GAF password in as well.

Can I get some impressions from Souls players please:

1. Is the game easier than the last souls games as some reviews say?
2. How does it compare to Demon and Dark Souls games? Where would you place it?

Wasn't there supposed to be a patch to fix the framerate? How bad is it compared to other soul games as I was perfectly ok with DeS and DaS1.

Use up any molotovs you've got then start shooting him. After enough shots it eventually it falls to its knees and you can give it some nice hits. Might need to farm for bullets or just get good at dodging once you're out of bullets.
 
After second boss:

Did anyone else send that grumpy old lady to the church? She's mean. Do I collect other people there?
 
Here's a stupid question. I have the disk version, and I think most of it gets copied over to my hdd anyway right? Do I need to have the game running for that copy to begin? When I look at my system settings it says it takes up the 2XGB or whatever, but it also has a disk icon. And if it's all there it happened quite fast. Maybe it's just fast?

I want to make sure everything is ready when I get home. The update is installed.

I never receive Amazon preorders late, but this one certainly is going to be. It's just 1 day, but the e-mail confirmation I received specifically stated that it was guaranteed to arrive today.

Edit: Make sure to complain. You'll at minimum get a free extension to your Prime membership. They also offered to refund my purchase if it arrives more than a day late (which isn't going to happen).
 
No luck with my nap until midnight. Can't sleep... :( I feel like I'm 10 again and it's almost christmas.

And then I look at the PSN download speed and get mad as fuck. How does it take like 6 hours to download 12 gigabyte?(so far)
 
yep, there is no need to even see the cleric beast at all for leveling up. I didn't even find a second lantern so far. Was just exploring, avoiding the two beast wolfs who always fucked me up and got till (second boss, if you count cleric as the first one )

. But because i was scared that my weapon would break (already had the "risk" message) i warped out with the Bold Hunter's Mask, mid fight. Now the doll is alive and i can lvl up. Haven't seen the cleric beast yet.

As soon as a disc is inserted for the first time in a PS4, if there's enough free space, it'll install to HDD in the background automatically. No need to start the game to initiate the install.
 
Trying my best at the cleric beast. I went with the professional build with cane and blunderbuss. So far I don't really like the shooting mechanic yet. Window seems to unforgiving and, on top of that, bullets are pretty sparse. I don't think I'm in love with the cane either, so I hope I get my warped twin blades soon.

And I've already searched the thread for help on cleric beast, but I must ask again: am i doing something wrong? It takes ages. I've managed to get him down to 50 percent health,
and I notice that when I hit his right arm I do double damage.
But holy shit the camera is shit in this fight. It is actually hampering my ability to properly hit his arm. I've tried shooting him but that has not worked so far either.

My guess would be the GAF password is working against you. Try erasing the password then using it and see if you get results. I bet not enough GAF members are there yet.

Of all games to be late it had to be this one. They credited me back $9.55 but still it hurts.

I've been hyped as fuck for this day for months now.
 
I just beat boss 2 after about 20 attempts! I even tried summoning someone about attempt 14 but the person I summoned had no clue how to do it.

This game is amazing so far, but I am really bad at it. First souls game to get its claws into me though. I'm about 4 hours in.

When I was picking up my pre-order from Best Buy the person was getting them all ready for pickup. There was probably about a dozen of the normal version and a single collectors edition. So, yeah, they might be pretty hard to find if that's anything to go by.
