Any info on RedBull's Kumite's format? Brackets, round robin? I can't find any info on this on their website or their facebook page

Its that time again...

England stage in Super Turbo for me, it's just the coolest to look at and I love the music. Close runner up is that hospital or hotel? not sure, in Jojo's where you fight Kakyoin. Especially with the guy writhing on his bed in the back.

I don't know what the formats are going to be without assuming, but I do know the top 2 placers in the qualifier will compete against the invitees for the Kumite.

This is my all time favourite stage

It's not busy, has a simple theme to it without feeling boring. Also I'm a complete sucker for snow related settings. I think one of the coolest aesthetics in film is blood on snow

My favorite SF stages:

Ibuki's from SF3:NG. I love the transition from day, to sunset, to night. Also, putting her friends in the background seems like a nice touch:

Rose's from Alpha 2:

Sean's from SF3:NG:

After using more Ky yesterday, seems like I still enjoy using him, even in Xrd.

Unfortunately I need to stop playing off AC habits and learn him properly.

I even went back to the gif to see and confirmed she mouths "Snail." Awesome.

Lol, ahh, gilty is an epic troll and it is awesome. Glad she is coming out to NWM.

(Shouta, if there is anyone else we want to look at bringing, let me know - it cost me less miles then I thought it would for gilty)

Maybe some of the east coast players that are interested? I know Native is coming. For example, I'd love to have Art here if he's up for it.

I can ask on twitter if you want.

Are you watching a stream to look at the background or the actual match? Leave stage selection to the players and not the viewers.

This all started from PR Rog's tweet. It's not even that big of a deal. It's one of the last things on my mind when watching, but if I have to give my opinion on it, then I do think it sucks.

Art expressed his disappointment on twitter earlier about not going.

Kokujin and Nuki will be in Paris for Redbull Kumite, commenting the japanese stream. They'll join a SF3.3 concept match with some of the best 3.3 french players during the Kumite (Mimoza, BillyKane, Niabanh, Nikola and Otana).

Damn. Multiple nightmare scenarios. Hopefully it all gets ironed out next time...

Yeah, that just covers the happenings. There were a bunch of other things like the layout of the setups for pools in each of the rooms being poor and making it difficult to get around the halls. FunkyP's stream was right near the door to one of the hall's so when a match would be going that folks watned to watch, it made it impossible to get in and out of the room in a timely manner. Same in the street fighter room where the bracket runner was in the far corner from the door, requiring me to push through a massive crowd to talk to him about Kazunoko or Itazan or try to get out to go find them after.

The two rooms also had independent mic systems so we couldn't hear announcements made in the other room which lead to the "Where are you Kazunoko" calls all while he was doing Marvel and Xrd, lol

Smash also ended up basically in nowhere land for most of the weekend too. Kind of a shame =/

Here's a neat thing being Kickstarted:

FIGHT! Round 1

It's an art zine filled with drawings of original female fighting game characters created by the artists, with bios for each of them in the back of the book. A lot of the designs are really neat and creative, and if this does well two followup zines are planned. I love this idea and thought maybe it would appeal to a couple of people here too.

If anyone wants a recap on the chaos on my side of the venue at FR, I went ahead and posted it to Dustloop.
