Famitsu Sales: Week 26, 2025 (Jun 23 - Jun 29)

Also, what the hell is this Castlevania Switch cartridge Japan can buy, and give it to me now.
It's the same releases that limited run did, superdeluxe are kind of the jpn branch of the limited run releases. However a lot of times the packaging is way nicer on superdeluxe releases.

The one released now into the charts is the older nes & snes games collection. There's still the GBA collection & the DS collections coming for japan the box art looks amazing on the jpn versions.

Well, I'm glad it did well enough to chart. I think I already bought all these games digitally, but a physical cartridge copy might make me stupid enough to buy them all again.

I have to say it, but I think Sony lost its appeal to Japan gamers, especially now Sony and its games has become to westernize and worse, woke. Sony worse decision is abolishing Japan studio and moving head quarters to California.

They come with extra stuff in the box the first set comes with a bonus book & soundtrack CD although you can buy them as non box set versions as well. It's a nice way to own most of them together in a collection.

Hoping with it charting well that Konami will think to maybe let some of their other ip like parodius or goemon get a collection.

oh no, not the W-word!!!

I guess I can consider DS2 a win here. It's been holding top 5 on Japan PSN too.
True considering it is around Switch 2 launch month and against legendary nintendo franchise games and games are more expensive this days. I hear that Ds2 got 1.4 million within 5 days around the world, which is not bad.

With the amount of budget differences between DS2 (~$200m) and Tamagotchi Plaza (~$1m), it's certainly a big L for Kojima and his studio after being outsold by a game with N64-level graphical fidelity.

Kinda crazy to think it won't take more than a few weeks on the market for the Switch 2 to outsell the combined sales of every Xbox console in Japan in over 20 years (A bit more than 2 million units).
