How do you co-op?

I got some bell but I'm not sure how it works.

So there is something called a "Beckoning Bell" that when you use it, it sort of "hosts" a game. Then, people in your area holding the other bell can use it and join your game. But also invaders. Think of it like activating the human mode in Dark Souls 1+2

I think it's just a bad translation or something. My TV is properly calibrated and making the beast invisible makes this look like an Xbox One game (crushed blacks everywhere). Default seems perfect to me - there are still very dark areas where it's hard to see anything without a torch.

Don't do that. Don't fuck up your entire tv's calibration just to make the beast invisible.

Mine is isn't invisible and the screen brightness and atmosphere looks fine.

Thanks!

Much as the load times are wearing me down I must say the 3 bosses I've fought so far have all been fantastic
after second boss spoilers

i don't trust this slug person telling me to round everyone up
Nor do I but if it gets em out of there houses so at least its interesting. I mean, he's not gonna murder them all, right?

I've played and beaten DS1 and 2. I've played this game for about 4 hours and I can't get past the two werewolves on the bridge. Now, I'm not giving up cause I know how these games go, but man am I finding this beginning hump a hard one to get over.

I just ran past them after dieing several times to them. It worked for me. I went on to beat the boss.

Did I miss a lantern? I've gotten so far from where the last one yet. Is there a list of lanterns?

Either you missed one, or you were very close to one but died before you could reach it. And there should be unlockable shortcuts in the world, to make traversing less of a pain. I haven't played the game yet, so I don't know where they all are.

Does anyone have a image of what the echoes look like when dropped on the floor? When I was playing earlier I am pretty sure I didn't see anything on the floor when I got them back randomly on two occasions.

oh, cool, I figured it had to be something like that
Thx

Get 10 insight points. You can do this by finding items called skull of madness or something. Use them to get one point.

Then, in the hub world, there is a fountain where you can purchase a co-op bell where you can let yourself be summoned to aid others.

My first attempt at assisting somebody via Co-op. works pretty well.

Open the menu and select the slots below the Inventory (2nd row) You can equip your weapons there. First two slots are for your right hand trick weapon, last two are for your left hand gun.

Thanks! It was too obvious for me. lol. Welp, now time to kick some ares.
Or not...

Could you like, not post and make me feel compeletely useless? xD

j/k though, good job not dying :)

Haha, to be fair - I am a Souls series Vet. I imported Demons' back before it had a release outside of Asia.

A lot of what I learned definitely applies here too so I'm falling back on a lot of experience. Still, I remember having a REAL rough time with the alpha so am wondering why I'm suddenly having such an easy time getting used to the systems.

Hell, I'm pretty much guaranteed an easy parry with all large enemies and bosses first try. Maybe the blunderbuss is OP? Who knows. I also tend to miss them a bit but, while nowhere near reliable as a shield, it doesn't feel like the huge risk/reward I expected either.

Yeah, there's a lantern accessible quite early. It's
up the giant ladder accessed by pulling a lever.

I'm at the elevator and the levers don't work and giant unbeatable guys ahead :/

But how do I help others?.
Is there a second bell? Guess I don't have that one yet.

does the game automatically save?

Yep. It's just like the Souls games, it's basically constantly saving.

I lured them to where you enter the bridge, ran up the bridge again and down to the shortcut.

If there's an enemy with glowing blueish eyes, he ate your blood stash. Kill him to get them.

Glad that you dont have to just stay in the same spot lol.

I know that. I was asking about how they look when they drop on the floor and no enemy has picked them up.

I was playing earlier and I died so I went back to get them and I was walking around trying to find them and I suddenly got the alert that I picked them back up. No enemy was around. It then happened a second time when I was walking around a staircase.
