Is there any guide avaiable yet? I'm kinda lost of what exactly some items do and when to use them, i've been upgrading my strenght and skill and already beaten 4 bosses like that lol.

Also,
has anybody got to the part where some random dudes with a bag kill you and teleport you to a new area? Is it possible to kill those dudes cause i get one hit kill every single time when i fight them : /

Yes they can be killed.

I upgraded my Saw Cleaver to +2 and I'm thinking I should have waited. Hopefully upgrade materials are not hard to come by later.

So the blood diamond things seemed confusing. One option was for +0.7% damage and the other was +1.1% damage and +1 health regen or something. Did one use more gems than the other I don't get it. And is it wise to use them on the starter weapon..I'm guessing there's better mats needed for the better weapons

I would advise just
running past everything in there, up the multiple flights of stairs, and lighting the lamp. From there you can decide whether to come back later, or try to carry on. In my case, I got teleported there when I was way underpowered, so I'm going to finish up some other stuff and come back when I'm better equipped.

Is there any tip to deal with the first boss? It's like my 5th try and I have yet to kill that giant monster :(

Target his head with lock on and fire a few rounds. He'll eventually bend over and you can attack his head with a standard weapon to do a special attack. Other than that, spam Molotov cocktails and always make sure you're following which way he winds his arms up for attacks so you can dodge appropriately.

Quick question:
I've gotten far enough that I can apparently tell citizens about safe places, between a clinic and a temple. What do I get for sending the woman who was asking for safety to either of these areas?

Send her to the clinic. I sent her to the Chapel by accident but they don't appreciate the crazies. And she's bat-shi*t. Clinic is best as they can heal her. No reward for sending her to the church.

Yeah,I went past that just now. WTF?! The enemies were overpowered. The area has some neat weapons and equipment. Not very far from the point you spawn there is a lamp that gets you back to Hunter's Dream.

Not really, later on there will be enemies that "almost" constantly drop the lv one upgrade material. But the double crystal thing that you will need next will be harder to come by for a while.

Does helping other people out cost you insight or does it only cost insight if you're requesting help?

My silly gorilla. Helping other people, just like in Dark Souls, GIVES you things. In this game it happens to be something very valuable, insight. Each time you succesfully help somebody defeat an enemy you gain insight. I helped two people out so I went from 8 to 10. And the beckoning bell is cheap as shit at
1 insight, but you need 10 to see store
.

So yeah. Whenever I want a specific boss armor I'll help people out. Faster than trying to defeat a boss. Though second boss armor isnt any better than the armor you can buy at beginning.

My god, I wasn't expecting the game to be anywhere near this good. I play Souls without a shield so I was right at home here until I became cocky. The game quickly put me in my place and after settling down I made good progress. One shot the first boss as a waste of skin, I wasn't losing 4k souls!

I tried this. What I found was NOT a house.

Even that is not necessary. There is a shortcut at the back left of the courtyard, you destroy some stuff, and then drop down, turn left, and kill some things. Follow it around and eventually you will get to a gate right back near the start. From there you can open up all of the doors on that house that you need to get to the Cleric Beast without ever having to fight the wolves. You can just 100% avoid them.

Just bought the game...unfortunately i don't have a hdtv to play my ps4 on now (will have one by tomorrow and will start to sink ny teeth into it) although the wait till tomorrow will be tough!

You'd need to approach the sewer from above. There's a staircase at the wolf bridge that leads to a small area where some barrels are hiding an entrance to the sewers that you can roll into.

Props found it! W
ent in the wrong way and ended up running into the huge pig the first time lol.

Its seriously been a while since a game actually causes my adrenaline to kick in. Love those heightened reflexes lol

Seriously. I felt like I was about to transform in real life when going down that dark tunnel early in the game.
That big boar thingy was a pushover due to my new form I developed specifically for this game.

Man, 2nd boss is wrecking me once
he goes beast mode.
Any tips?

Silly to say but whenever he turns into
beast mode remember that you have gun. The trick in this battle is to shoot at the boss right as he begins the attack. You'll learn to anticipate the swing of his arms. Safe bet would be to shoot too early over too late. Whenever you do it succesfully you'll hear the stagger noise, approach him quick and do a counter attack. I killed him in beast mode relatively fast doing this

Also remember that Beasts are weak to fire. I fought a werewolf who was merely being tickled by my cane in Old Yharnam. Then I accidentally poked him with the torch and it did a ton of damage.

Only reason I'm holding off from upgrading it to +2 is because I'm not too far off from reaching the weapon I've been wanting, and I'm able to buy it right after defeating 3rd boss.

I found this out while I was watching Jeff Green's stream while eating dinner. I was watching waiting for him to hit the werewolves so that I could laugh when he died, but then I didn't pay attention for a moment and he was in this completely different area that I hadn't been in yet, so I realized there must be some secret I hadn't found. I went back and looked carefully and found the way around the werewolves after that.

I dont know if to ask it, or just find it myself, but i guess i should ask anyways:

1-how do you parry?

2-how do you backstab?

3-and where in the world you can level up?

I think i played for almost 4 hours or 5 hours, had to restart my character build, first time was getting destroyed by the Mob in central yhrman, now im using the ax, so far i made it to open up the door close to the second lantern.

This game is destroying my soul, as someone who mostly used shield in previous souls game, only using evade makes the game harder than any of the others souls games. Im loving the punishment.

Now is time to go to sleep....

Nifty, thanks! I'm new to this whole Dork Souls business.
