I don't know anything special. Miyazaki said that about Bloodborne remake publicly in an interview when asked about it.

This is what I am hoping. There's not really enough information out there currently to ascertain whether this is a Battle Royale type game or if maybe From Soft is doing away with summons and just allowing seamless co-op/invasions. We'll most likely find out everything we need to know on Friday.

Before the BB remaster fever there was the Demon's Souls remaster fever. All over the net people begging Sony for the remaster/remake/PC port, same as BB. There were the usual rumors, the hope, the longing, the drama. Eventually, the dream came true. Demon's Souls remake was a reality and it was releasing alongside the PS5, and it looked glorious and truly "next gen".
And then the people who asked for it bought it. And no one else.
That's why we won't get Bloodborne anything.
That's not BB2 in spirit or anything, it's a crappy online multiplayer game kinda like Nightreign I presume (I don't know the details).
I don't know details, but it's confirmed it's an online multiplayer game. Does that sound like a Bloodborne game to you, because that's the point of the information I gave you, your reply is what's pointless here.
Whatever...did you even read the OP? Because that's who I replied to, to what he said calling this multiplayer slop "Bloodborne 2 with different name". And no, that's not a BB game, because BB is not that... I don't know why I even bother....

That would be so out of pocket, if it were the case. I can imagine the sheer amount of salt if NS2 gets some goofy Bloodborne Nightreign game only for Sony to get a direct Bloodborne sequel not long after.The existence of this deal makes me 100% sure that Sony's doing something about Bloodborne. It's just like Elden ring / Nightreign, but different release order.
Sony can't stop From as long as they aren't infringing on their copyright. They couldn't stop Dark Souls from existing either. The game will likely only be temp exclusive anyway.
I'm convinced BB2 or something similar is cooking. With both Hermen and Kadokawa alluding to it, and with Sony/SIE increasing their stake in Kadokawa and even trying to buy them, it would be strange if we never see a Sony XDEV x FROM game.

I'd guess the pivot to live service in the PS4 era killed funding interest for a Bloodborne 2 and then any interest now for Bloodborne 2 from Sony would be post-Concord and that would mean a game numerous years away from whenever it's pitched and the planning stages completed for full production. Then FromSoft could be busy with all the projects they have so could try to make a game without FromSoft but say like Bluepoint doing the Demon Souls remake doesn't mean they have designers to make a soulslike to the standard of Bloodborne from scratch their own art design and gameplay. If FromSoftware doesn't have staff available for a AAA Bloodborne sequel now, who knows how many years that can be away then

Some advice to you (you probably won't take it). Don't start at your conclusion and work your logic backwards from it. You'll find yourself with extremely flawed thinking.
You seem to have realized that maybe you weren't on the right track and hedged towards the end of your comment.
This Duskblood game looks like a pretty small project, similar to Nightreign. It was almost certainly in development long before Sony bought Kadokawa stock for example. FromSoftware was busy with Elden Ring. Let's assume it take 4 years to make a Bloodborne 2. Ask yourself when it should have been greenlit.

This time around, the backlash will be much bigger. Bloodborne is a masterpiece (yes even with the shit frame pacing/framerate), it is perfect in its execution, it has the metaphysical mind fuckery in its story and environments and brutal style of gameplay that hasn't been matched.
Everything in Bloodborne is in service to the experience. It is complete, a whole and actual realized world.. It is so consistent in its design that nothing will ever match it, but it inspires others.
Personally, my wish is just for a remaster to fix the framerate and resolution, add some options for post processing effects. that's it.
