Eddie why would you possibly think you were friends with the guy thats clearly in love with your girlfriend

It'd be hilarious if Eddie's change of heart at the end was just for show for Iris.

And it just occurred to me

Linda = Cady
Barry = Aaron Samuels
Iris = Regina George

While the resets aren't surprising, they are pretty disappointing. The first ten minutes of this episode were as deflating as I feared. After that, the episode settled into an entertaining, if conventional groove.

reverse flash is the most frightening villain in either DCW series right now.

Honestly, he's probably one of the best comic book villains ever put on live action, likely due to the show having so much time to build him up. Most adaptations of comic book supervillains have failed at being compelling/threatening in both film and TV.

This Reverse Flash is infinitely more interesting than his comic-book counterpart.

One of the writers on The Flash is currently being interviewed on Geek & Sundry's Twitch channel: http://www.twitch.tv/geekandsundry

Kai Wu is listed as having co-wrote "Going Rogue" and "Revenge of the Rogues." Not sure if she worked on tonights episode though (writers aren't listed on IMDB at the moment). She also contributes to "The Flash: Season Zero" which is the comic series that serves as the prequel to the show.

Edit: For any who may be interested in the segment that missed it, here it is: http://www.twitch.tv/geekandsundry/v/3944210 Kai Wu's segment starts around the 01:06:00 mark.

there's a fine line with these tv shows though between good and overexposed

something I think they could avoid if these seasons were like 14-15 eps max. Arrow's already kind of feeling worn out this year, and I fear with how much Flash has crammed into this season they will do the same soon enough after this year's finale.

Nowhere near as good as last week but still a fun episode.

While I still don't love The Rogues, they were much better this time. Plus it's nice we have a reason why Flash doesn't just catch them and lock them up straight away and why they don't just move to another city.

So Iris the reporter and Eddie the detective believed that tripe that Caitlin fed them? They must suck at their jobs.

Reverse Flash is the most threatening live action villain. Seriously based.

I love it! Now Capn Cold is going to be the lovable best rogue we know.

That gold gun was so stupid. I like how the Rogues aren't going to kill anymore, although they already killed so many people. The scene with Zoom fucking shit up was awesome, though.

Pretty disappointing episode after last week, though I guess that was to be expected.

Thankfully it seems like the love quadrangle is taking a backseat for the time being.

Someone gotta edit Barry and Iris into this gif. My boy B. Allen was SICK tonight.

I don't know what people aren't getting about the conversation between Cold and Flash. Fact is, Cold won and Barry knew it. So he worked out a deal. Barry knows Snart steals for sport and he appealed to that part of him by saying "If you're so good, do what you do without taking life." Fact is, Cold won and Barry knew it. He couldn't lock him away because then his identity is blown and considering all Barry just lived through, he's not going to risk his loved ones by having an open identity. And he couldn't kill him cause, well, it's Barry. On the flip, he did make sure Snart knew if he did anything to hurt or cause someone else to hurt his loved ones, the deal's off and Snart and the rest of the Rogues are going into mini-Guantanamo.

He's one of the scariest villains in any live action comic book adaptation for my money. They've done an excellent job with him. Just pure menace and the way the other characters just look helpless whenever he appears.

Was the Reverse Flash's voice different at the end when he said "You really were on to the story of the century"? It didn't sound like Wells at all.

The only thing I thought was obviously contrived was Dante - it's like he just showed up to give Cisco a reason to help the Rogues and reveal the Flash's identity.

I thought it was a good episode. We got some fun alternate history character moments, but it's a shame that none of it really sticks - we're back to the same page we were on two episodes ago. We can't have balls-to-the-wall episodes every week. The most important thing is that Barry learned that messing around with time is dangerous, which will become vital in future episodes.

Which is bigger bullshit in the DC universe, Speed Force or "Prep time"?

Speed Force I think. Prep time might bend some of the rules that are established but Batman still has to work within them. That's not to say it isn't BS as well. It normally doesn't break internal logic set by the universe I think other then when it comes to Superman. Speed Force comes off as a Deus Ex Machina though that breaks the rules when needed. There is a reason it's at the center of so many, if not all of the multiverse and crisis stories. At least that's how its appeared to me over the years. That's why I think you have to handle Flash well. It's so easy for things to go off the rails I believe that part of DC is used wrong.

All in all, I feel like things went better in this timeline so I don't know what the fuck Wells was talking about.
I thought it was pretty silly when Barry was complaining about Iris rejecting him, like it was on the same level as anything that happened on the "lost day".

"She didn't even eat her cronut!!!"

For real. An entire city was about to die by tsunami.

Iris is fucking with your head Barry. Get out.

Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell were munching on the scenery just as hard in this episode as Jada Pinkett-Smith does on Gotham.

They need to tone it down a notch.

That Captain Cold conversation is great if you love the character. Rogues now established and he's got the no kill rule so he can pretty much just roam around, chilling out.

I see what you did there.

And Caitlin coming through at the end. Let's just keep adding fuel to the Barry/Caitlin ship fire.

This scene in the middle of Jitters with Iris and Barry is the worst, most cringe worthy piece of television I have ever seen.

Kinda loved seeing Eddie punch Barry in the face.

She did, however not with Geoff Johns like the last two. Looks like she's doing another with Johns next season though.

I was convinced Prof Zoom and RF were separate characters!

In this show they probably will be.

Man, this episode sucked. Shit just randomly changes because boo hoo we need drama and nothing can go right for Barry. Then Cisco magically makes a gold gun for his date that can magically turn stuff into gold and they still feel the need to steal stuff? Bitch, just spin gold and sell that.

I am looking forward to see what happens now that Barry has an inkling of Wells' plot, but this episode was otherwise just junk. Really a heel-face-turn from last week.

I keep forgetting the geek and sundry twitch channel. How are the new shows?

I fucking love Captain Cold and the Rogue gang. They're all hysterical and clearly having the time of their life.

I assume the gold gun is just some sticky honey-like adhesive that murders/immobilizes its victims instead of actual gold.

Would like to see Lisa get some more upgrades later though.

Extended Promo. I'd say to use spoiler tags but the cat's been out of the bag regarding Hamill in this thread for a long time now.

Going to guess that gun didn't turn people into real gold. It was probably just a colored metal. It's a tiny bit more plausible, she just wanted something to look gold to match the Golden Glider character.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TRICKSTER BITCHES TRICKSTER!

Also the guy that Captain Boomerang kills in the Cupid episode on Arrow, his name is Kai Wu named after the Flash writer. Lots of in-universe naming easter eggs, Diggle being the biggest.

I've sorta warmed up to Captain Cold, but anyway it was a solid episode.

That moment when Wells told Cisco the line about knowing what it feels like to have a son. The feels considering how Wells killed him last episode muttering those same words.

Maybe Barry will travel back in time before she met Eddy and finally be with her *tears up* that would be beautiful.

When is Grodd coming back? I need to ship him and Barry.

It's a CW show. The sooner you accept the relationship drama the easier your life will be. As much as threads like this would make you think Iris is the worst, there's a TON of fangirls of her out there that totally eat up the will they won't they stuff.

Man if any of you folks complain about Grodd in his second/third appearance like you do Cold I will wreck faces.

Show is fun and the off shoot stories featuring recurring villains are entertaining and still manage to move the plot along. Something I feel like Arrow has struggled with this season.

Then again I don't even know what Arrow is trying to do this season.
