Barry finally opened VLC on his computer, it seems

Mark H playing The Trickster again will be great. I remember him from the old Flash tv show. (Also Barrys dad was the old Flash in that old show as well)

All that talk about not messing up the timeline and Wells does that? Also Caitlin's explanation for Barry was terrible.
Overall decent episode. Miller was gold as always.

Zoom is the scariest villain in live action comic book history. You're basically dead whenever he puts you in his sights.

What's scary as fuck is he doesn't have a weakness. Literally the only person that can currently stop him in the Arrowverse got his ass handed to him in the midseason finale.

Comic spoiler

A part of me irrationally wanted wells to flip that force field on and then somehow Cisco would become Vibe. I halfway expected it given how last episode scene went down in that room, but it's much better writing that they proved Wells actually does have an attachment on some level to Cisco. Love Cisco's character so much, hope he gets powers down the line.

Anyways I'm not buying Wells time disruption theory. It's all bullshit. He just doesn't want Barry to stop him from killing Barry's younger self.

Seriously, I was scratching my head while watching that scene.

This episode had its moments, but there were a few wtf moments.

Just cheesy stuff, but overall not a bad episode.

PS if barry heals so fast, why was he icing his bruised after a sucker punch from a non meta human. This is a guy who heals from broken bones in hours, maybe even minutes.

I love Captain Cold. I love the Rogues.

The gold gun is pretty dumb though.

Yeah that was like silver age level of goofiness. I know it sounds silly being able to accept a cold gun but not a gold gun but the effect looked terrible and the sound effect was even worse.

Also didn't really care for Iris's reaction to Barry getting punch. I'd hope she'd be more concerned and view Eddie as an asshole. She pretty much brushed it off. Some Lois Lane level of attention manipulation goin' on here.

Gold doesn't lend itself to good visuals, ironically.

Lmao this is dead on

There are so many things left unexplained or just not shown. I understand most of it is filler (like today when Cisco shows up to STAR labs after he snitched on Barry. You'd think he would bring his brother to the hospital and be there with him) and most likely omitted due to time constraints.

Hopefully the blu ray will have filler scenes lol

I absolutely love this show, which is why I can also be critical

Can't wait for the trickster next week

This was a really uneven episode. As usual, scenes with Harrison Wells were great, but the conversation with Cold was head-scratching, and Caitlin's Lightning Psychosis excuse was too cheesy.

I was going to fault this episode for not being nearly as awesome as last week's, but that would be unfair. It's hard for anything to compare.

Barry fucking with the timeline was pretty awesome. Iris rejection cringe, Weather Wizard locked up in 5 seconds.

Some good moments in the episode, surrounded by some not quite as good moments. Didn't buy Iris and Eddie believing Caitlin's story, but it's not a dealbreaker.

Couple of questions:
1. Is there only one timeline since Barry fused with his past self?

2. Also what is with Cold and Heatwave showing up? Would they have still come back if the tidal wave hit or is it a result of Barry's actions?

3. Finally how does Wells future happen if Barry listened to not changing anything? Wouldn't that put Barry into an infinite loop of going a day into the past when trying to stop the tidal wave?

That Captain Cold conversation is great if you love the character. Rogues now established and he's got the no kill rule so he can pretty much just roam around, chilling out.

Revealing Barry or Wally to the public is going to be great and make the show really fun but now's not the time.

Huge disappointment compared to last week's episode, which isn't exactly fair since the last 15 minutes of last week's episode was one of the best 15 minutes of TV I can recall in recent history.

Alot of this episode was just Barry acting like a fool and Caitlin's excuse was so farfetched that it felt like it should be in a lesser TV series.

As usual, Harrison Well's scenes are great - he carries so much gravitas and intrigue that I can't imagine how the series can keep up its momentum once he's outted and no longer a regular of the team.

Which is bigger bullshit in the DC universe, Speed Force or "Prep time"?
Speedforce - Flash literally steals Superman's speed, completely immobilizing him

Prep time - Something something Batman something Kryptonite + Superman holding back so he doesn't vaporize Bruce with heat vision in half a second

Personally I'd say prep time

I really hate that the big nemisis in the show is just a dude that has a pistol and they keep bringing him back, it just makes no sense

please for the love of god don't tell me lighting psychosis also explains barry's confession to iris on the christmas episode.

snart family was fun but i think I want more weather wizard now, spartacus' stoic menace has more bite than miller's hamminess imo.

plus that conversation with cold was wack.

yeaaah, he's fun for sure but i think the character has run it's course for a little while.

I really love that the big nemesis in the show is just a dude full of swagger with a sick gun and they keep bringing him back, all his scenes are light hearted joy.

pyeaaah, he's fun for sure but i think the character has run it's course for a little while.

Nope, he's back later this season and in the spin-off. MORE COLD.

Heh

Okay episode, but I think any follow-up episode was going to feel a bit underwhelming after what happened last week

I don't know what show you're watching, but in the Flash I watch the big nemesis is Reverse Flash.

Captain Cold is just a fun recurring villain.
