What's up with this coughing dude near Central? I read somewhere he gives you an item but I feel like I've wasted my time talking to him.
 
took out 2nd boss with molotovs. my god do those deal massive damage when you actually get those things to hit. I'm sure at some point in the game molotovs won't be as useful.
 
First time souls player, never played a second of the early games. I have never played a RPG and i don't like hard games. This is my impressions.
I think i am cheating or doing something right. I seriously find this game not hard. Killed the Cleric Beast on first try, didn't use any blood vials, killed Father G on second try. I just take my time with the bigger bosses and be agressive with the medium or easy guys. I still fear that i am getting my ass kicked later in the game. 8 hours into the game, but i can already sat that this is the best game i have played on my PS4.

How do you even get to him? I jus ran away. Or is he the 4th boss?

Sorry i have the same question but I don't know what this answer means. Second lantern does that mean cleric beast lantern?
Usually my path to second boss is from first lantern go to elevator, take it down go across bridge, enter boss room. If I'm following that path where do i turn to get this item?
 
Quick question about the Hand Lantern. Is it a consumable or not? Seem to read conflicting things on this. Would be nice to be able to have it constantly active.

Also, is it possible to sneak somehow? Read about backstabs but my footsteps are hella loud even when I try to just walk.

Center town lantern (usually the second lantern waypoint on the hunter dream,
Cleric beast
lantern is the third)
 
Cathedral spoilers:

Vicar is SUPER easy in co-op. Like, she barely moves unless it was just luck on our end. I got summoned into someone's game and I kept my axe in 2H mode the whole time and landed the charge attack over and over and she barely attacked till the end.
 
Would anyone recommand this for a devil may cry and ninja gaiden lover? I want to jump into the game but demons souls was not for me due to its slow nature.

I ran up to him as soon as i got off the ladder and threw him off the building.

Yeah, the online seems pretty fucked atm. The death animation thingies rarely work for me, and am too scared to try to get people to join, because I know that if I can't find anyone I've just wasted insight
 
not to pile on the issue, but the load times are absolutely ridiculous. its a shame
 
So I just had an idea for a feature I'd like to have incorporated into the game. As you might expect, I have Bloodborne on the mind.

Be "Re-Borne"

Upon starting New Game+, transfer all of your stats and items/equipment to a newly created character. Feel free to change their appearance and even their gender, and re-allocate your currently obtained stats to whichever type you want! Tried a STR-based build in your initial play-through? After being Re-Borne, re-allocate those previous STR points into SKL and try out some new weapons!

*Note*

This can only be used upon the completion of the game [New Game+ included]. To re-allocate them again, you'll need to play through and complete the game again.

I'm not sure if this would be something From Software would incorporate or not. I'd love to have it, though, since it would be akin to "inheriting" your previous character into something new. You could, of course, start over fresh from scratch if you want.
 
The combat seems more focused on learning enemy attacks than in previous games. In previous souls games you would need to have a general idea of what an enemy is capable of and what you could block with your shield. In Bloodborne since there is no shield you need to know the range of the enemy attacks so that you can slide out of the way and counter. It's making encounters way more difficult for me but I'm still getting used to the slide distance and the mechanics of the game.

Naah it's glitched. I had over 50 bullets and 70 blood vials. Died once, never used bullets. Now stash says zero bullets and only 20 vials in storage.

I wouldn't. Both types of games are third person action, but they couldn't be more different.

You should try to borrow it and play the first hour or two and see how you feel.
 
I feel like im playing the game incorrectly (regarding weapon/armor)

But the most important thing for me right now is that im stuck after killing about 5 bosses i think.

There is 2 things i didnt do yet. use the cathedral key (that cost 10K) and i dont know where to use it exactly and the guy who asks for a password to enter (that i forgot where he is exactly lol)

Are one of the 2 things above the key to me progressing or something else?
