Got my ass pwned right before going to sleep, i won't have cold today orz -_-

Bloodbourne making you rage before going to sleep... it's going to be a tradition i guess .

It was in the damn cathedral the guy with the gatling gun is, those damn beast appear out of nowhere and their attacks can be deadly if you get too confident >_<

Who is Alfred? The dude in the wheelchair? Feeling like I missed someone. Is it the path where I got the Sword Hunter badge with the locked door at the end?

Alfred - the cleric hunter

That's it, I'm done for today.
father G is a brick wall
my nerves are shot. This game is crazy hard, I think I got soft during dark souls 2, that game was a cake walk compared to this.

How I was able to beat the 2nd form without molo's was by keeping some obstacle between us and timing R2 hits as he made his way around it. The fountain was the perfect spot for that. Trying to fight and dodge with all the crap in the way was a death sentence if you got stuck, so I rather use what they give me to win.

In Old Yahrnam
I knocked the guy off the tower and thought he landed in a reachable location but the item orb is hovering above my head.
Am I screwed?

Wait, when are you supposed to kill the Cleric Beast?

In like 30 minutes I stumbled upon the shortcut that opens up the gate on the left-hand side of the bonfire, which takes you to the Beast in like 30 seconds. I assumed he was the first boss so I died like five times trying to beat him but I finally did with my +2 whip and that hunter armor set I bought for 2000 blood whatevers.

Reading the thread I'm getting the vibe he wasn't the "first boss within 20 minutes" type of boss I assumed he was?

It's the first boss.

So now I'm officially logging off of Bloodborne but I'll still be researching and chatting in these threads.

So today I progressed a good amount
  • Found new shortcuts
  • Familiarized myself with the way to the 1st boss (did not kill)
  • Familiarized myself with the way to the 2nd boss (did not kill)
  • Got to level 18 from 10 (all in Vitality right now: 17, other relevant stats Endurance: 14, Skill:13)
  • Fortified my Cane to +1
  • Got better with fighting, dodging, and parrying

Baby steps, hopefully tomorrow I can take on the C. Beast and take him out. I'm still trying to stock up on items and hopefully get myself to level 26 soon so I can have 20 Vitality and 20 Endurance. I'm hoping I can see a real increase in HP now with my new Vitality amount.

Edit: Just fortified my cane to +2 before I log off. Trying to use up echoes so I won't log in tomorrow and feel a bit rusty and lose the left overs

I beat him first at level 17. Just keep at him don't stop attacking.

No, he's the first boss. You were just better prepared than most people.

add me on PSN if you want help with any of the first 2 bosses.

Make sure you have at least 1 insight and the bell to summon.

It's the area accessed by taking the elevator immediately from the Cathedral Ward lantern. The key can be found near the Yahar'gul Chapel on the Unseen Village lantern side. There's an opening in the fence by all the old ladies you can drop down.

And I ended up cheesing that fight. Tried many many times.
I see, I'll search for that key.

how did you cheese that fight? I really can't kill him like this but I also don't want to kill her for the badge.

Part 2 of the sewer run. Spent an hour editing this one lol. Was fun.

anyone know how to link other sections of your video in youtube, within the video through annotations or whatever?

I could do that for some videos. Like, here is the fight with the Ogre Axeman dude in Yharnam. Here is the fight against the Cleric Beast. Here is the fight against the townsmen. Here is the fight against the wolfman, etc.

I'm wondering how and when we unlock weapon purchasing. I already purchased the hunter clothes set that available initially. In terms of progression, I've gotten past the mob around the bonfire area and around the giant door where the big guy is pounding on the other side - and then I cleared out the dudes with the huge dogs. How much further do I have to go and how do I unlock weapon purchasing?

I know the actually character level up only happens after I fight Cleric dude, but I'm not sure how far I am from reaching him as well. Thanks!

Tired of running like a headless chicken. I defeated :
Cleric Beast, Gascoigne, Blood-starved Beast, Vicar Amelia, Witch of Hemwich and Darkbeast Paarl.
I can't think of anywhere to go. Been circling around for hours now.

Help?

Fucking Gunslinger bopped me real good. Managed to parry him but it only did like 300 dmg then I let my guard down and now I'm out of resources. Is he weak to fire?

Yes.
He is an optional fight. If you have the Black Church Set, He will be friendly towards you.

Pray that he falls to his death. Also, supposedly wearing the Black Church attire set after defeating Darkbeast Paarl will make him not attack you and teach you a gesture.

Ohhhh. I guess I'll just skip him then and keeping going. Lost 9k souls to him, but whatever. I'll kill that bastard when I get the set later.

for those that have a pretty good grasp of Bloodborne lore

how would you rank the lores from Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2 and Bloodborne in top to bottom in which game you think has the strongest lore

You unlock a couple weapons for purchase when you beat the Cleric Beast. You're less than 10 minutes away from it.

For all the people attempting the Gunslinger Hunter. He is a hunter NPC like Eileen the Crow. Meaning he is an optional fight.

If you're having a hard time in an area, try to explore other areas to make a progress.

Oh, OK. Good to know! Now to explore the rest of the area.

I beat him first at level 17. Just keep at him don't stop attacking.

I think I made it a bit harder on myself beating him at level 13. I lost 2000+ echoes a couple of times in some dumb ways.

How did that stunning mechanism against the Beast work? It seemed to happen at random from what I could tell but when it did I got a lot of free damage on him.

I just run the first area. Use the Cleric Boss lamp and kill the werewolves for 6 if you want some really quick.

Okay thanks! This is actually a great run.

Go to Central Yharnam, take left gate kill the 2 dudes there, go up the house, onto the bridge, kill the two wolves, and the fat guy+birds, take lantern at Great Bridge. Reverse order next time, and hit Central Yharnam lantern.

Gives 12 guaranteed vials per run, takes like 1min lantern to lantern.
