Okay question about the key in the shop

Do you need it, or can you open the gate without it? I swore I went around and opened the gate that people are saying the key is for.

Also are there enemies that drain insight? I notice I"m 2 less insight and i had just fought an enemy that did some weird drain grab twice on me.

Anyone?

I keep hearing
Vicar
is super fucking easy but I cannot do it. Her one shot attacks are too much and I do no damage. They say stay behind her back but when she jumps and you try to get back behind her she sometimes does that wide sweep attack that like if you're not behind her will hit you and take most of your life.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but tomorrow I'm gonna farm blood vials. I've lost all but 8 in my reserve. If somebody could give me some concrete strategy on how they beat her it'd be appreciated. To add insult to injury I can't even summon help.
Try to dodge through her attacks that is not the two hand slam. I've seen Yoshi's stream against her, and all of her attack is easily evaded if you use your invincible frame during side stepping to dodge it.

One a semi-related note.

Does anyone else have issues with the Gold Wireless headset in this game?.
In others games it will sometimes briefly disconnect (audio starts to cut out, light on the USB adapter starts to blink). It's rare and it only happens on Ps4 (I've also used it a lot on PC and never encountered the problem) so I asumed it was just the Ps4 OS fucking up.
But with Bloodborne it's happening all the time. I seriously can't go 15 minutes without the audio starting to cut out

Yes. And if youve gotten to the forest yet, read this post if you want to know how to access the area. Most people missed this, I was kinda going "what"

Very interesting, thanks for the explanation, I'll definitely check it out. I finished the game and managed to miss a lot of stuff apparently...

The fastest, hardest-hitting combo I've found yet is SPOILER AHEAD BOTH WEAPON AND COMBINATION
Saw Blade R1, L1, L1, whatever (including repeating this combo)

Finding soloing easier than co-op in the one time I tried summoning for a boss. The boss seemed much stronger in attacks as well as health. Didn't seem like a benefit to me...ymmv.

With a 1/3 of my health and with 0 blood vials, with my last bullet, I stunned the 3rd boss and killed him.

I AM A GOD

So guys, what are some good combos to try with the Axe?

Also, what's a good Endurance stat to strive for? Mine's at 12 right now. Focusing on Vitality(18) and Strength(16). Just beat Cleric Beast.

I feel like you probably missed some bosses. And you should do the chalice. I can understand some of the other complaints, but think you should give it some more time.

Oh like I said I am starting a New Game + and I did a quick google search that told me I missed a couple "secret bosses" including (END GAME SPOILER)
the last boss only unlocked on the "true" ending.

That said, I don't know that the Chalice is a great addition for the game from the time I did spend in there (cleared through one dungeon). The dungeon crawling in the Souls games is fun, but what makes them fun is that element of discovery and finding secret nooks and crannies and finding cool out of the way stuff. The Chalice doesn't have any of this. It does have unique boss fights which is cool, but I am currently skeptic that further delving into it will be very rewarding, but like I said, I'm going to go for it anyway.

You can get to the top floor through a convoluted route through a completely different area, and uh...shes crazy...and tough to kill. I felt bad.
Yeah I didn't want to fight her but.. she asked for it. I found a white church garb some time later, though. I wonder if wearing it will get her to become friendly? I guess I'll find out in NG+

For some reason her swipe attacks make me dodge either too early or too soon. I'll have to keep at it I guess.

So I decided to move on and give up on the
gatling gun
guy. I recover my blood and quickly go down the ladder. I get to the bottom and hit x to read a note and next thing I know he lands right by me and dies. I couldn't help but laugh.

Just fought the second boss.
Father G ain't fair man. His human form was no problem for me, was able to dodge a majority of his hits and I was able to stun him a couple of times for a front stab. I used the music box as well but found no need for it as I was on a roll depleting his health.

But his beast form wrecked me and exposed me for the fraud I am. He does his combos that knocks me on my ass and just as I recover he does it again until I'm dead. I can never get the timing right to stun him. Died 3 times to him so far but I'm sure I'll get it soon.

anyone else experienced some heavy slowdown when entering certain fog-door (
yharnam shadows & rom
? My framerate would go down to something around 1 fps for about 10-20 seconds but then go back to normal. seems really weird.

also how much game is left after
byrgenwyrth
?

how can i use these items? i don't understand what they do and i don't wanna mess up.

1- Ritual Blood
2- Bloodshot eyeball
3- Lake
4- Madman's knowledge
5- Red jeweled brooch

I use the gold set and I've never encountered this issue. Probably have used it for about 10 hours on this game.

Does
Forbidden Forest
have a boss? I swear I covered every inch of the area and not found nothing but shortcuts to other areas I already visited

Oh, for fuck's sake. I was easily beating BSB without getting hit a single time. I probably had three more hits when it somehow grabs me through a pillar and kills me in one hit.

Hug his feet, dodge just enough to avoid damage and close enough to combo at least two hits, then focus on dodging his retaliation. Be aggressive with your positioning and attacking, don't worry about parries.

For anyone who has beaten the game, I'm curious as to about how much longer I have to go. I just beat
Micolash
, so about how much more is there after that?

Echoing this poster's question. I just beat
Rom, unlocking the Unseen village lamp post back in town.
How far am I through the game roughly?

Can someone confirm if anyone has brought up the area I just mentioned?

Andd done for the next 2 days, at my dads house :/

Are you talking about the cave to the clinic? I didn't post about it, but you need to do that to access the castle area that I mentioned. You need the summons letter from the room with the alien

I did do that. Is something important there besides the
invitation
?

I-invitation?? What?
I went in as I unlocked the forbidden forest, and the crazy bitch tried to kill me and died. Invitation....?
Hmmm

Oh what the hell. That's obnoxiously convoluted, I missed this and I searched the entire place.
So if I go back there quickly and grab that, I'm set to enter...uh...where is this?

Welp I unexpectedly find the second boss while exploring pathways. He looks like he eats me alive lol. I will try my first attempt to defeat him tomorrow. In case I am unable to take him down, I will ring the bell to seek for help. Hopefully, there will be someone available to provide me assistance :)
I had him down to a sliver of health buthe got me first on my first run...heart pinding action..had to try two ro three times more....all Ill say is that supercharged gascoigne mows down what is dead but cant pass what is alive.
Look to the trees of life.
After about 5 tries against
blood starved beast
, with a co-op partner, we still can't beat it.

what do?

I saw some guy stream that boss and he tried it 50 times without beating it because he kept backing up all the time..he finally beat it when he took our advice in chat and
rolled to the side and behing it
instead of retreating all the time. Use the
pillars
of life.

I am at Amelia, and she is kicking my ass. Worse than BSB so far. Everything just has a huge radius. I can't get partying down STILL.

Anyway, there are two other paths near her. One leads into a cave, and the other, rooftops. Should I explore these before fighting her, or do they go on into new areas?

Shit, I thought that was just me and that I had a defective headset. The one I have is the original headset for PS3 that works on PS4 now, and it does the same exact thing. It cuts out constantly on Bloodborne. Man, thanks for posting this. I think I might just get Turtle Beach or Tritons at this point, cuz Sony fucked up with these headphones.

Man, I gotta try this before a patch drops. Had to skip him because I had no bullets and was doing crap for damage against him.
