Did you get all armor and weapons and are
you gonna get the other two endings?

I got a threaded cane +10, but I didn't collect everything. I honestly didn't even know I was fighting the final boss because I didn't expect the game to end so soon. If I had known, I would have collected more items and beat all the optional bosses.

The sword hunter badge opens up new items in the shop. From what I can tell, the Cleric Beast is completely optional.

Doesn't the sword badge make available from the shop the seal required to unlock the gate in the Cathedral Ward?

At least I never noticed it until I beat Cleric Beast.

Thanks guys. Kirkhammer any good? Don't wanna waste souls on it if I won't like it as much as the axe...
It's worse than the axe (most weapons are), but I still have fun with it.

Oh, I guess it does. Huh. So that's one reason to kill the Cleric Beast.

I'm super confused about that particular weapon. Why do weapons that have better stats on paper and have pristine durability end up doing less damage than my unfortified starter weapon?

halp

Fuck the guys that drain insight. Lost 4 insight already.

So two questions, both involve npcs.
1. I heard that the one plague doctor person gives you a quest or something?
2. The clinic woman... uh what's up with her?

Blunt defense?

I've currently only beaten the first 3 bosses, but I was in
That prison area, and in that prison area there is a path you can take to a boss fight, that apparently is not the boss I should be fighting

So the next spoiler is for the boss for those that wanted the spoiler for that spoiler within the spoiler

Darkbeast pearl or some shit, holy fuck what a cool looking thing. He wrecked me first two times lol, third time I summoned someone and was banking on that person to beat the fight for me, see how hype it would be if I won ahead of schedule....lol he got wrecked too, but he was such a badass. He was doing his thing until he got hit like once and he was out for the count.

THISFUCKINGGAME/10

It may do that but
It may be possible to completely bypass the need for that gate if the door by the lantern opens up after killing the Blood Starved Beast, which is when it did for me, but I had also already bought the badge and opened the locked door as well.
You can then circle around from the top and unlock the seal door from the back with the switch if that is true.

The Kirkhammer seems to have much higher damage on direct hits with the center; just hitting a foe with the edge barely scratches them compared to slamming them with the center. Also, the R2 has ludicrously high damage when charged and can combo into another R2 swing.

It's seems really easy to miss areas and especially NPC's in this game. The ending:
There were a few reviewers who were also surprised at the quick ending. Apparently there is much more work to get the true ending/ boss or something.

Took a while but i'm not happy I switched to
Ludwig's Holy Blade
over the hunters axe.

Give it some more time and definitely some upgrades. Remember to use the two-handed L2 attack often, as it had more reach than the regular R1, and stunlocks even the big enemies. I felt the same way—disappointed—but when I discovered how useful the L2 moveset was, and when I upgraded it so that it got a B scaling in strength at least, it was all awesome after that.

I don't think I should be versing Darkbeast Paarl just after beating the BSB?I am getting one/two shotted by everything in this area.

So does anyone understand how the Frenzy status actually works yet? I totally have no idea what is happening.
No idea eiher!!

Tapping out. I literally can't do
Blood starved beast
. I watched a friend of mine win on his second attempt and haven't been able to do it in two days. I wish I hadn't bought this digital. Fucking done.

Does anyone know if there are 5 layers to each Chalice dungeon? I beat the third boss in the first chalice dungeon you unlock and didn't see anywhere to go for the next layer.

Made just a little bit of progress today, but still significant.

Bought the Hunter Chief Emblem Key for 10,000 echoes and decided to figure out where that went. Made my way through the
Great Cathedral
area and circled my way around through the area it unlocked. Feel pretty good about the progress made, though I didn't push as deep it really goes (I merely opened the two gates from the other side and killed all the enemies in my path). Encountered several new enemies and loads of NPC conversations.

I have to say, every single enemy design I've seen so far is exquisite. Amazing work from the art team. They NAILED the aesthetic to a masterful degree. From Software creates the most tense experiences while being amazingly fun to play. In every Souls game I make sure to slowly walk through every single area while carefully making sure to pick out new sounds or impending threats, making it a deathly quiet and intense trek as I first make my way through.

I haven't been this invested and hungry for podcasts/videos/discussions about a game since TLOU.

Did I just waste 10,000 blood on that seal? Guess we'll see.

It just dawned on me how the password system should work lol. Post when you need help, and if anyone answers, just make sure you each have the password set. I guess its probably better to leave passwords off for general gameplay, and set up GAF password when you actually need help from a post?

Ha I goofed when I made the post. I meant to say i'm happy I switched. Just took a while to lean the new moveset. Grated i'm 2 handing it 99% of the time since I dont use pistols much but it hits like a train.

Blunt defense?

1.
After you meet her and she tells you about her first target, go to where you fought Father G, there'll be a Hunter there that'll attack you, shortly after she shows up and fights. Was pretty easy, let him attack her and just kept going for Viceral attacks.

2.
She seems to be experimenting on people, I sent one NPC to her and there were 2 of these weird enemies..one dropped shoes that I think belonged to the lady I sent to her >.> Oops. She told me to turn back, I didn't so I got attacked..she does some freaky shit.

That guy is an optional boss. Try moving to another area.

Aww dont throw in the towel. Just set up the gaf huntword, ask for help, ring that bell.

There are no bosses you cant do. Change strategies or think of other options if you dont want co-op help.

I've made a grave mistake.

Same here. I never use my Blunderbuss, save for Hunters (good for getting a small reprieve while my stamina comes back).

I’m happy. I always main two-handed swords in Souls games.
