Is sleep that bodily function I've been ignoring because I can't stop playing this game? I don't remember anymore
With today's new system firmware you can map it to any button by switching them around!Dodging is still something I need to get used to. The R3 lock on is not the best strategy. I wish it was mapped to a different button.
To confirm, locked on dodge does a side step and non-lock on dodge does a full roll dodge?

lolMaybe you could have a nap during the load times![]()
Would it be crazy to try and parry with the clerek beast?

Wow I can't believe some people have already finished this. Anyway, I've never played a souls game, and just spent my first hour of play, and 90% of that time was wondering what the hell to do. I couldn't even figure out how to equip my weapon!
So at this point, I feel really daft. I wish there was at least some tutorial on the most basic stuff like that.
That's what I was saying. Though the only problem would be if you switch O with R3 then R3 would be the first cancel and back out.You should use the new firmware button mapping tool.

there has to be another way to get to that gate because I never went to the bridge and fought the wolves until after I beat the cleric beast. i wish I was still playing Id go look. getting passed those wolves is tough as nails!
Wow, no real invasions? You have to accept them now? This sucks.
Yes.Doesn't work, however shooting it in the head enough times will stun it.
Yes, you're correct.
Once you get used to using R3, it works really well. Have you played the Souls games?
how I beat it wasWould it be crazy to try and parry with the clerek beast?
You can parry and execute the r1 finishing move on Cleric. You have to make sure the tracking dot is on his dome by pushing up on the right thumbstick after youve locked on(if its not on his head already)

Went from cathedral to old yharnam in 5 mins- I missed stuff right?
Figured as muchLoooots of stuff...
So I tried out the Beckoning Bell for the first time yesterday and got pretty far with this guy that joined. We got all the way to, I guess that's what they're calling him. But right before we get to him another guy joins so it's three on one. The battle only lasted like 45 seconds. Looks like I'll be using Insight/Beckoning Bell for bosses from now on. On that note, I have to go back and defeat theFather Gbecause we skipped right over him.cleric beast
By the way, the two randoms I played with didn't have mics, is this the norm for Bloodborne?

No real downside to it, but remember multiplayer matchmaking is based on your level so if you level up a lot and still have trouble with some bosses it'll be harder to get people to help you.is ok to farm blood echoes at start?

You don't need 10 to call for help, only to be the helper. How is it possible to have 10 Insight before Father G.?

Guys, I'm really debating whether this is smart pick up for me. I want a challenge, but not a frustrating challenge. The kind of challenge of super tight gameplay that indicates my failure in the game as a failure to be skilled with the mechanics. I can only really play in small hour chunks at a time, so if the game is 40 hours, it'll take over a month for me to finish. I just don't want those hour sessions to be wrought with frustration that I made no progress.
Never played a Souls game.
It's not parrying, it takes a couple of shots to do enough damage and then you can do the visceral attack. He's not actually able to be parried though.
One thing, though. Am I the only one finding it incredibly hard to find Blood Stone Shards? Or am I not far enough in the game to farm them somewhere?

Just found something really interesting under the Healing Church Workshop. But even though I now have this knowledge I really don't even know what to do with it.The hidden door that you have to jump to on the drop down to the bottom has some crazy stuff in it that I'm sure has major lore implications.

Well let me clarify
You need 10 to access the vendor who sells the small bell.
