I lol'd at Ollie walking away and just leaving Roy's fried ass on the ground.

This, so much. I was laughing so hard. Ray complaining of sore muscles after the fight. Meanwhile, Roy has third degree electrical burns and not even an apology.

that was pretty fun. ray palmer CG was good imo. and the squad (not really a squad with like 2 members with codenames tho lol) was entertaining.

i doubt they killed deadshot tho. gonna have to bring him back again when will smith makes the character big with the film.

AV Club Review

Their opinion is that the episode was too ambitious, too many plotlines that could have done with embellishing. Which is true. Lots of stories being juggled.
A little overstuffed, sure, but probably one of the stronger episodes for it. I didn't mind the Deadshot flashbacks, personally, since they did tie in pretty well to everything as a whole overall.

SS is dead in Arrowverse though, I doubt we'll see them again now that DC is working on a movie. What a shame.

Go to Marc Guggenheim's tumblr and ask if Floyd was written out because of a Warner mandate re: suicide squad. If enough people ask, we might get something close to a straight answer. Stay civil, though. He's usually pretty open.

To me it looks like they are setting him up for the spin-off next year.

Welcome to the new age, everybody. The only way to fight the league is with a league of our own. Ten bucks says the new series is called the Justice League. Long live ArrowFlashAtom.

Roy's line about Ray's suit when they found out was the best part of the episode.

"Ray built a supersuit? That's kind of awesome [Oliver glares at him]... and reckless."

His delivery of "and reckless" was on point. First time i lold hard during an episode of Arrow

That was a great episode, though felt like both plotlines could have had a bit more fleshing out, but still, great episode:

- DEADSHOT, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. MY BOY! HOW THEY GONNA DO MY BOY IN LIKE THAT!?!?!?!?!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

And he went out as a total G, protecting his bro, his bro's GF, and his stalker. Goddamn, son. Floyd better still be alive, and then return with maximum swagger when he and Dig take on HIVE.

Also, I liked the flashbacks with Deadshot. They did well enough to flesh him out more, and make him a bit more three dimensional. I can't wait for Floyd to return.

WILL SMITH, YOU BETTER NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR HIM NOT COMING BACK.

- Cupid is never not hilarious. Her transferring romantic feelings to Floyd was hilarious. I imagine that if Floyd didn't get blown up, they'd have a hysterical sitcom-esque relationship.

- That Senator is a total douchenozzle. He just... got away? Somebody put an arrow in that muthafucka.

- "Ray... built a super suit? That's kinda cool." Roy, you are now my favorite. That was fucking hysterical. Almost as hysterical as Ollie leaving your comatose ass behind after he bonded with Ray with a big speech and walked off into the shadows.

- Goddamn, Laurel looked good tonight. And I loved her scene where she shut Ray the fuck down and he quickly figured out everyone's superhero identities. Missed the scene confronting Black Driver though.

- Ray's ATOM suit looks badass. I bet the miniaturization stuff comes into play on Flash. Flash's ring, right?

- Maseo, what the hell.

- Lol, Starling Mayors getting murdered left and right in this town. No one is gonna volunteer. That is the third murdered mayor in... a year? Fourth?

- FLOYD, NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

ray's ability to put 2 + 2 together should literally make chesthair and thea absolutely ashamed.

this week's episode made him the most logical person in CW-verse in a long time.

I loved that he's just basically calling people out on their shit the entire time.

"He hasn't killed anyone in two years!"
"That is a terrible argument."

"You were on a deserted island for five years, came back and started shooting people. You are clearly not stable, even if you aren't the one killing these fools."

"You're the Black Canary, you're just protecting your buds, and you're threatning to sue me. Welp, I guess I'll just whoop your asses on my downtime."

And Oliver's reaction to Felicity telling him Ray knows was hysterical

The whole Atom pretty much being a weak ass Iron Man was weird, but I enjoyed this episode. I do notice the budget cut to this show, though. The first season did more visually and more locations, but I old be remembering it wrong.

I liked the Suicide Squad and crazy Cupid and her going all gaga over Deadshot lol

ATOM was eh wished he remained a villain of sort and mess with Ollie, but Wise Felicity made him see the errors of his way.

Maseo is making sure he ends Olicity once and for all, Bravo sir.

I can handle fantastical technology such as a billionaire making an Iron Man Atom suit. What I can't handle is unbelievable character motivation. I didn't buy Ray's vendetta and I didn't buy the Senator story. I dunno about Maseo either.

I love the actor playing Deadshot, but I didn't like the flashback. I really hope he's not dead. Maybe he'll come back all burned up or something. I can't stand Cupid. She's just not a good actor. She's beautiful, though.

Agree with others that Roy's line about the Atom suit was perfectly delivered.

RIP Deadshot.

I wonder if the spinoff show will be more like full flashback episodes?

I honestly thought that Lila would catch a bad one just for LOL PLOT LOL!

Nice to see Cupid again. I really enjoy that Task Force X remembers that there are other characters to send out on suicide missions.

Ray is the the other half of Batman. I want to see this Prep Time in action.

Lil Flip wants a super suit too. He can do flips in that too.

Copper Dude vs A-Row was wild and poor Lil Flip getting electrocuted and nobody giving zero fucks was too good.

Next week, the end of Raylicity.

EDIT: Forgot about Big Brother Diggle!

I kind of wanted Ray to say "set blasters to stun" or something like that right before shooting lethal-looking energy blasts at Roy and Oliver.

Felicity's not dead. The arrow sound at the end was probably one of #TeamArrow's agents taking out the other guy. Olly probably followed Felicity.

- Arrow has become unbearably melodramatic. I think it the cheapish way it is shot and lit may have something to do with it.

- Oliver: “You can’t believe in this! Murdering all of these people just to prove a point!” He’s in the league of assassins… The clue is in the name.

- Fucking lol at Ray using facial recognition to uncover Oliver’s secret so quickly and then later figuring out Laurel was the Black Canary. That’s what happens when you have characters who aren’t complete morons.

- Hey Oliver, you don’t get sole jurisdiction over the city. Chill out.

- “Don’t worry, I’m a United States Senator. Everything is going to be all right.” When has that comforted anyone?!

- “You’ve turned my hostages into witnesses” - I’m pretty sure if you didn’t pull that gun out everyone could’ve still walked out of there none the wiser to your nefarious schemes.

In short: I’m glad Ray is around to call everyone out on their crap. Also, Oliver is a real drag… I’d rather have the comic book version of him. At least that guy could occasionally be fun. But this version of Oliver seems to love projecting his own inability to manage his personal and vigilante life onto everyone else.

goddamnit i wish someone would throw Ray into the sun.

Why do people dislike Ray?

Oliver is the douchebag that thinks he owns the city and has sole jurisdiction over it. But yet his bullshittery led to Slade living and eventually creating the super soldier people that killed Ray's wife. Fuck Oliver!

Well, Oliver isn't exactly busy running his company anymore...

Why don't we ask the guy that lost his family business and personal fortune to run the city? He obviously has an excellent track record.

I mean Moira ran for mayor despite being complicit in the murder of thousands.

Also I couldn't help but laugh the second the lady in the flashback told Deadshot the shit about love after he just told it all to Diggle. I always find it fascinating seeing tropes like that.

I've been really down on Arrow this season, but last week was mostly good and I enjoyed the motherloving heck out of this episode. 90% less angst! More action! Less (although not "no") dumb decisions by characters for the sake of plot! Plus, actual resolution!

This has been the case for sometime now. Out of all the DC shows that were released (Arrow, Gotham, Flash, iZombie, Constantine) Arrow feels and looks the cheapest. It constantly being set at night is also a part of that. I fully expect Supergirl to blow it away as well.

I'm at a point where I really think Flash took a significant portion of Arrow's budget.

All CW shows generally have a decent budget first season. Once they see an "established" fan base they start reeling it back. Flash may look alright now but it only can go downhill visually. CW never improves.

That's going to suck. Flash works as well as it does because of the visuals it's able to produce. It balances out the acting. Take that away and I really don't think that show works as well or will be as popular. That's like taking away the budget for the zombies in The Walking Dead and not allowing that show to be creative and bolder with the designs each season. It's a integral part of the show that's extremely important.

If this is the case with how CW operates then enjoy Flash's first season now people or think about calling it quits after the second season.

I thought this was generally a pretty good episode though, like last year, the inclusion of Suicide Squad in this show feels really shoehorned and pointless. Why are Diggle and Lyla always being roped into these missions? Doesn't ARGUS have plenty of other agents to choose from?

The senator's attempts at salvaging his original plan to still come out hero didn't make any sense. Walking away from a terrorist attack where every other hostage was killed doesn't make him a hero. Dying with said hostages doesn't make him hero either. The "hero's legacy" thing only really works if he actually saves the people.

I also laughed at the Squad's way of breaching the room where everyone was holed up. Not only did they just burst through the door guns blazing, but they came through that same door twice!

I hope this isn't the end of Deadshot, I've liked the actor more and more each time he's appeared and I think he's really grown a lot into the role.

Well we know that the budget for Arrow was slashed between season 1 and 2... Amell has gone on record of saying that before.
And, if I'm not mistaken, it's a common practice for this to happen. Just hate that it's noticeable, despite the fact I still really enjoy the show. :-/

Deadshot the greatest :( He embodies that Suicide Squad spirit, full of swag and no fucks to give, hopefully he's somehow alive

Also, the tease around who really killed Dig's brother is still out there, right? I mean, Deadshot was paid to kill him, but I remember him saying something like "Deadshot does not miss" to Dig.

Would they evolve around that in Season 4? Maybe flashbacks of Dig's brother, why people wanted him dead, and who actually killed him.

Given how prevalent Waller and ARGUS have been to the flashbacks this season, and the HIVE shoutout in last night's ep, I'm thinking HIVE is being set up as the big bad for S4.
