why the fuck can I always get the first parry on Father G, almost kill him, but then miss all the rest >_<

Anybody got any advice for
Vicar Amelia
for me? The closest I've gotten to beating her is half her health but she doesn't seem to have any way of critically hitting her like the Cleric Beast andd Gasocoigne did.

Study her move set and know when to punish. When she's swiping like mad, just let her go crazy and stay away. She won't cover much distance so use the time to heal. Try to keep your distance to bait her into jumping. When she jumps, side-step and hit her once or twice before backing out. When she raises her hands over her head or means she's about to slam them into the ground and send a shockwave at you. Side-step the shockwave and hit her. When she spreads her hands and claps them together, back step away and then run in to hit her. Also, be sure not the get cornered. Be aware of the environment. Lead her to one and of the area and then back to the other. It's really all about patience. Just get your damage in when you can and don't be greedy.

I have a question about the chapel area and some people in it.

I have two people who can give me blood treatments, one is a whore and the other is that lady from the area where the sackguy brought me. I'm not sure if I can only pick one so I'm wondering if these have any effects?

I played a ton of DS 1 and 2 also. The camera and tight space makes the cleric beast very tough. Plus I only took off a tiny amount of health with each hit. I eventually had to use
molitoves and when he foes down you can quickly do a counter attack by r1-ing right in front of his face.
only takes like 5 of these to get him

Well shit. I had a few to take about a quarter of its health. The rest of the fight it played really nice.

First boss down I guess

How can I help people? I haven't figured that stuff out yet.. *blush*
You need 10 Inisight which unlocks another shop in Hunter's Dream and from that shop you buy the Small Resonant Bell for 1 Inishgt which you can ring to answer the call of other players.

finishing of the forest... soon hopefully

I have no answer for that asshole..Im jelly.

I must've just gotten really lucky when I fought this guy. I summoned the NPC helper in the graveyard right outside and used fire paper, whittled him down to roughly half health. Then, I caught him in a classic pattern where he'd lope up to me and try to swipe me and I'd shotgun him in the face, stagger him, riposte and then he'd lope back up to me again. I think I had nine quicksilver bullets left when he finally died, but once I got into that pattern, the back half of the fight was kind of relaxing actually.

If you hit her left side she staggers, the one holding the amulet. You can break her out of her pray if you do enough damage.

Is there a good spot to grind Bloodstones in the early game? I need like 3 more to get my saw cleaver up to +3. In terms of progress I'm right at the Father G fight, and I've spent most of my time exploring and unlocking shortcuts

I feel like those two guys right in front of him drop them a lot.

It's a permanent shortcut. Go back to the Dream, use your echoes. Buy molotovs if you've got money afterward. Show Father G what's what.
Awesome.

Btw I've found 2 badges. What do they do? Can you equip them?

Also, I clicked play online and it says I need ps+ just to see notes and that. Is that true?

Those Tall Things with the spears (by the Father G Lamp) and Werewolves have a reasonably high drop rate of Blood Stones

I can't hold off any longer.. I need more souls now!
About to head to Best Buy and grab a PS4 and this game. About how long should I expect to wait before I'm able to play the game? I assume there are OS updates as well as a day one patch for the game.

Not sure if anyone noticed but if you travel to Hunter's Dream your Blood Vials and Quicksilver Bullets are replenished (partially in the case of blood vials, dependent on how many were used). You can in turn sell them to the messengers for 800 blood echoes with respect to 20 blood vials and 600 blood echoes for 20 bullets. Warp to another location and warp back to Hunter's Dream and you'll have 12 blood vials and 20 bullets given to you. This is what I've noticed anecdotally, so hopefully this helps people in the beginning stages of the game where this is good number of echoes or if you just need a few more to purchase an item. For those later into the game, this is a negligible number or for the impatient this won't be efficient because of the games loading times. Hopefully this helps someone. Apologies in advance if this was already mentioned.

Damn some of these bosses are lazy as fuck. Mid/Late game optional boss spoilers.
The boss Celestial Being( I think that's its name?) is literally infinitely respawning blue alien monsters, and when you get the main to 50% he just grows bigger, while continuing to spawn the aliens.

Buy the bell to help, as well as the invasion bell in the insight shop. Open it with 10 insight.

Once you have 10 insight a new shop is available in the dream refuge. You can buy a small resonant bell for 1 insight that lets you offer assistance to others

You need to have the small resonant bell to help others. It cost 1 insight but to buy it you first need 10

Thanks brehs, guess I'll try to help some people tonight.

what you are doing right now is selling the vials and bullets that you have stored. good job.

Should I use Coldblood Dew or save them for later?

I usually save them until I have something specific I want to buy (just short of a new level, short on change when I need to buy a new weapon, ect.) that way, you can be certain you're not going to consume them and then lose those echoes to the inevitable screw up that gets you killed, as happens to us all.
