Fuck the platforming in the
Healing Church.
It's the most I've died in the game so far because I keep barely missing a platform.

Not sure if anyone noticed but if you travel to Hunter's Dream your Blood Vials and Quicksilver Bullets are replenished (partially in the case of blood vials, dependent on how many were used). You can in turn sell them to the messengers for 800 blood echoes with respect to 20 blood vials and 600 blood echoes for 20 bullets. Warp to another location and warp back to Hunter's Dream and you'll have 12 blood vials and 20 bullets given to you. This is what I've noticed anecdotally, so hopefully this helps people in the beginning stages of the game where this is good number of echoes or if you just need a few more to purchase an item. For those later into the game, this is a negligible number or for the impatient this won't be efficient because of the games loading times. Hopefully this helps someone. Apologies in advance if this was already mentioned.
there is a storage mechanic for vials and bullets. Any of them you collect over 20 are banked until they get refreshed. They don't come from nowhere. What you had was 32 vials, 12 of them banked. You sold 20, it refreshed with the 12.

So in other words, don't do this.

what you are doing right now is selling the vials and bullets that you have stored. good job.

I know that but they get replenished if you travel back to Hunter's Dream, so there's no downside to it. Just thought I'd share it for those starting out and having trouble keeping their echoes and would like to upgrade

EDIT: Holy fuck didn't know that they were being banked...whoops disregard this then...unless you have a ton of vials/bullets

just to be sure, rolling on the ground does not have the inv frames that normal rolls have? As soon as Father G knocks me down once its over, I cant roll away at all he just always hits me

Killing the big pigs with backstab? Yeah...

Anyone got any good tips or combos for the kirkhammer?

With Sword its just R1 Spam with maybe an R2 to close the distance if you knocked them too far away

Hammer mode? Jump Attacks all day baby. Fast, Easy to aim and reliable plus you can dodge immediately after

Otherwise bait and opening and do fullcharge R2 and the ridiculous follow up home run swing if they are somehow alive after the first hit.

Also The dashing R2 isnt bad with the hammer along with the Backstep and evade follow up attacks..

The transform combos for the Kirk Hammer have way too much animation length and are hard to aim so I dont use them....

The downside is that you actually ARE selling your supply you gained from killing enemies. They aren't just magically replenished from nothing. You are selling inventory from your storage box.

So I am stuck trying to kill the
turret
guy. He kills me way to quick. Should I just grind blood echoes to level up and then destroy him?

i just bought the axe last night. the extended mode seems to have great potential for crowds which i need for one area.

haha

I can't hold off any longer.. I need more souls now!
About to head to Best Buy and grab a PS4 and this game. About how long should I expect to wait before I'm able to play the game? I assume there are OS updates as well as a day one patch for the game.

Maybe two and a half hours.

I just use the sword for a couple swings and then during the combo switch to the hammer to finish with a slam and then a poke. It's awesome.

(Starting with the sword) - R1 -> L1 -> L1 -> R1 is a really cool combo.

Thanks you guys! Another noobish question, how do you go about doing the jump attacks? I haven't figure that out yet.

I asked before last night but I'll try to ask again hoping somebody else is at the end like me lol.

Does anyone know what to do at the
spider corpse thing you can inspect after killing Ebrietas?

When he killed me, I got back up there to get my echoes back and quickly backtracked down the ladder. the guy fell down and died. Not sure if that was a bug but that was easy and got a good laugh out of me.

Yeah I find myself using the transformed mode more and more the farther in I get. The default swings do enough damage to poke from a distance the the charge attack is always good for every situation since it knocks down and has potential to stagger bosses.

I've found a bunch of other weapons, but I can't bring myself away from it.

Was banging my head against the blood-starved beast last night. I tried to actively dodge his attacks and counter, but its second stage always killed me.

I said "fuck it," and switched my game plan to the Havel method. Traded blow for blow, spammed blood vials and antidote in front of it. Killed him on my first try after switching over.

Praise the rock.

Push that MF off the ledge.

I'm gonna have to try that.

I remember climbing up to him and telling myself "this punk little shit is soooo gonna get wrecked now". I get up there and he turns to me, lays a barrel shot to my chest and then combos me to death while I'm slow on my dodge.

I got punked hard.

Wait, are people having serious issues with that? After. Father G I found it to be much easier knowing how to parry and stuff. Biggest issue was the damn poison attacks

I beat Father G first attempt, been 3-4 hours on BSB. I get it down to 50% with parry/riposte no problem, but I cant handle it once it enrages and it always seems to grab and bite me. I think I've been using the antidotes incorrectly as well.
