Having a tough time picking a class >.< This always happens lol As I was a spellcaster in all other Souls games and I understand there isn't technically much "magic" in the game, I'm having trouble deciding what to do.

I'm leaning towards either a Noble Scion (which I understand to be skill and firearm based?) or the Professional...I'd like to think I don't want to focus on just melee or endurance..this question will probably be gobbled up in this fast moving thread but I thought I'd ask. Thanks!!

Just fought BSB. I was doing great until
the poison starts consistently spewing
and then I died from not being able to heal fast enough.

15k Blood down the drain. ;_;

I died so many times on that boss that I managed to get the timing right to parry most of her attacks, in the end I said "fuck it" went to fight it with 8 vials and 6 bullets no fucks given whatsoever, zero pressure and I destroyed it. Oddly enough when I went very prepared with 20 vials and 20 bullets I got my ass handed down to me.

Geez so it is not worth it, I thought about maining the Chikage and using the transformation often but have my health regenerated swiftly.

. .Now I don't know is it worth it, especially if I'm going to invest in Bloodtinge.

(unless it scales to A with arcane at 10+)

It's better than nothing. I have it on my secondary weapon since it's the second best gem I have and will equip that when I'm wandering around or not actively fighting. It helps a little bit but yeah it's not significant. I imagine there will similar gems with better stats later on.

Good sir, these are fighting words and I hereby challenge you to a gentleman's duel. Your over inflated piece of yarn vs. my badass hunting axe 3000 gifted from umbasa himself. Leave the monocle at home, it will only slow you down.

A cane without a monocle!? I might as well be an unwashed godless animal.

Can someone tell me if I'm nearing a lantern where I am? I'm at the bottom part of the area where
the guy is shooting at you from the top of a buildings, and there's the one enemy that looks like another hunter.
I'm about at my whits end with this part. lol

There's only one lantern there i think, not counting the boss one. Plenty of shortcuts though.

When i finally killed the BSB i had no more antidotes, no bullets and only a few blood vials.

wait music box? what? ive killed him and I have no music box

You get the Music Box from his daughter if you find her before the fight

its a useable item (like a molotov)

Its just a nice trick to beat him easier but its not necessary

Without it you just need to keep your cool and use the environment to bait his attack combos. Once you figure out how to get him to miss his attacks its easy to punish him and get the kill

Oil and Molotov scores a quick kill too but make sure you make him miss his attacks first so you have an opening

No lanterns, but shortcuts are past the gunman.

I've got the annoying feeling that I keep missing or fucking up side quests

That's just the way it goes on first playthrough of From RPGs. Something you just have to accept like getting horrifically mutilated by bosses over and over again.

Not only will you repeatedly fail, but you'll also fail all the people counting on you. Welcome to Bloodbourne.

ENB posted a video where he went from zero (start of the game) to defeating father G in a few minutes -- interesting watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiwRsgqX2g8

watching the video reminded me of something odd. I'm near the end of the game (I believe) and in all that time there's only one time you actually
pick up a weapon off the ground (saw spear).

Awesome

Its seems like this game encourages you to stay close. Seems to be the case with many enemies as well.... well not all of them lol

this is true. I've found going too far away from most enemies/bosses during fights tends to be a bad idea, since it seems to prompt them to do leap attacks -- which in this game tend to one shot kill you.

doing Cainhurst castle right now. The design is simply amazing

It's so freaking good!

The standby function is ruining me, btw. Every time i think of a new strategy in 10 seconds I'm in the game. Amazing.

I think that's especially on purpose here due to the inspiration. The story is that you have to get rid of the beasts, everything else is extra. You have to read like a million Lovecraft books to understand whats going on.

I'm not saying they didn't do it on purpose. I recognize what's happening here. It's not new or particularly interesting. I'm only mentioning it because I feel there's a lot to be mined here, especially with the incredible art and atmosphere, that they leave on the table. This isn't so much a Bloodborne or FromSoft specific complaint, but more something I dislike in RPGs and storytelling in general.

I found the blood soaked brooch but I completely missed this girl, where was her? I thought I combed the first zone

There's basically only one lantern in that area, and you've already come across it.

There are two ladders back to back in the shortcut between Central Yharnam and the sewers. Her window is at the top of the higher ladder. On your left when looking down the ladder.
