So if I go left of her building I end up in this big Forest, but the right side has an upper area with those bag dudes I've seen mentioned that carry you off somwhere. Which area is best or easiest to do first? Or should I go take the password to that one door?

Right on. Beat the second boss last night after a few good attempts. Cheese strategy I discovered if anyone wants it:

Run a bit of the way up the stairs and he will chase you, then quickly run back down and move around to the left of the stairs. If you're directly in line with Father G he will stay on the stairs and keep trying to hit you, then you can use your extended weapon to hit him without him being able to reach you.

I felt... sort of bad about killing him that way, but not too bad because it kind of happened organically.

How does the weapon scaling work?

Ive seen people mention B,C,D etc. My axe is 2 Ds and an E. Do I improve those by leveling appropriate stats?

the better the grade the more dmg it does with the apropriate stat

You can get under him like Sif and just whack away. Breaking his legs makes him crumble down and loose his charge.

Guy on the rooftop didn't seem on the level, what with the dead girl next to him and all, so I killed him and then SUDDENLY SATANBEAST. I knew it, you guy. So awesome.

I must have missed this, thought I'd scoured that area completely but it doesn't surprise me since it's so big. where about is it located?

You can use it anytime, but it will respawn you as soon as you use it. It's not something you equip, it's a consumable.

If that's the case, what is the best time to use it? Does it spawn you your last lamp?

From anywhere that you can drop down to in there there is another platform you can drop down on lower till you get to the bottom. Turn up your brightness or something if you can't see a way. Also spoiler:

There is also a pretty major secret hidden about halfway down on the other side of a difficult jump.

Use one of the mark things that lets you port back with your blood. Bold Hunter's Mark I believe.

Basically, I wanna know if I can farm healing materials before going back to a boss.
